The frame is in excellent condition still keeping the original paint and just a few specs of rust that I'll remove and repaint. The hood has a dimple by the grille which is more difficult to fix but the tailgate has a few and it's easier to replace than fix in case I'm lucky enough to find one... Feeling encouraged by the YT videos and your videos I plan to do all the work by myself ..5.2L engine;for its 210K miles the truck runs great and smells "new" inside ...😁

Martin I got a question for you. I live in Vegas and just bought a 2004 Dakota. It has no engine light on, but the OB2 has been sliced and wired back together except for 2 wires. The relay is missing too. Do you have the wire diagram? I just went to the Lamb pic a part and got a connecter from there. I tried anyways but failed smog. Im sure they are hiding engine codes once it works.
@martinbuilt2 жыл бұрын
I do not have a wiring diagram for that, but I suggest you could get another connector with a pigtail and slice all the wires back into the vehicle.

@martinbuilt I have a 00 WJ with the inline 6. Is it possible to swap in a v8 or would it be way too compiicated due to the engine computer, motor mounts, tranny, etc?
@martinbuilt Жыл бұрын
I'm sure it's possible the hardest part would be to get the correct wiring harness and ECM. You'd also need to replace the transmission as well it may be better to just find another Jeep with the V8. You can't beat that Is straight 6 for reliability.

@@danielguerra626 Problem is typically one of 3 things 2 are easy, 3rd is a rebuild. The easy items are honestly hand tools. Sockets, extensions T25 torx if I recall. Usual shifting issues are the 3 sensors (helps shifting) and valve body, $300. I HIGHLY recommend changing the pan to a drainable version and using a good gasket (no RTV). Took me 1.5 hr due to 4x4 and getting the cross brace back in. 1. Change the 2 filters and fluid 2. Valve body a) pressure plate or b) replace 3. Burnt out clutches which requires transmission replacement or overhaul.
