Sure you can, did you have a camshaft failure and those are the only cams you can find? Just curious I've never heard of anybody wanting to install the non HO camshafts in an actual HO engine.

I have seen where the rocker arm has broken the valve cover before never clear through. I would replace the lash adjuster and make sure that the valve spring is not broken. And hopefully this wasn't because of a dropped valve seat.

If you have to make circles really close in size, you can offset your pivot holes a little to one side or the other. That way you can avoid blowing the holes into each other.

This was just the video I needed to determine if my alternator was right for my van conversion. Thanks for that... I had a 30 amp bc/dc charger to charge my 220 amp lithium house batteries, I recently upgraded by connection in parallel an additional 40 amp bc/dc charger (both RedArc). Before turning on the chargers the at idle output was 13.8 v. With just the 30 amp bc/dc on the volts when to 13.6. With both chargers on volts when to 13.4 & is charging at 72.4 amps. I am assuming the alternator is sized appropriately? Right???

According to Chrysler factory data, the 3.7 is self bleeding with the reservoir/overflow tank. No bleeding procedure is given in the 3.7 factory maintenance manual, other than fill 'er up, drive it and monitor the coolant level in the reservoir. topping off when necessary.....

Im not sure if i am mad yet or not. I used your link to the 16 lifters with rocker arms, purchased because of trust for you, then checked question section of Chinese made parts to find out the hole size in arms is the same as oem or even possibly larger?! It appears as though they are not the "upgraded" version. So why would you post this link and waste peoples time and $? I sure hope i am wrong...
@martinbuilt
@martinbuilt 10 күн бұрын
You are right in saying that they are not the same as the original Mopar upgraded rocker arms. I would still say that they're an upgrade over the original ones the whole seems to be firing directly toward the lobe of the camshaft and the valve stem opposed to shooting directly upward to the top of the valve cover. And any aftermarket rocker arm out there for our 4.7 should be no surprise that it is made in China. Personally I like the ones from Pick-A-Part or a salvage yard where you know you're getting Mopar OEM rocker arms. It does not bother me that they may have over 100,000 miles. If you feel that these aftermarket rocker arms are not much of an upgrade I would simply return them.

@martinbuilt , thank you for responding with some clarification. Personally, I am not terribly concerned where they come from as long as they are a quality part. I understand that they may have a better aim, but your video specifically made note of the smaller hole being beneficial by way of better oil pressure, and this is what one would assume you were directing us to. I understand Amazon stores and links come and go, but I would encourage some clarification on updated links. I'm a fan of pull & pay, and the like myself...Do I understand correctly that I would look for the smaller hole version in 2005 and above, and they would still be compatible with my 2004 4.7L?
@fatherguidosarduchi5204
@fatherguidosarduchi5204 3 күн бұрын
Those are the smaller oiler holes. They are pricey, but I just found an American made set and the smaller oiler hole is a lot smaller. He is not kidding you. You will pay as much at $16 to 24 dollars a piece for the smaller holed rockers

if it's after market it might have some flashing or something wrong with the part itself stopping it from aligning properly. You could try cleaning out the hole and dabbing a little oil on the o'rings on the new one to make it easier to rotate.
