How do you know which filter to get for which injector please? Are they universal?
@martinbuilt16 сағат бұрын
For the most part yes they are universal.

Hopefully you see this. I know it's an old video but I was wondering how the Loc-Line is holding up. I'm in the process of changing mine over and wondering if it is worth the cost. Thanks for your time and really enjoyed the video.

03:30 so was these lash adjusters easy to press down? I never saw you press down on the lash adjuster or check the roller follower wheel to see if all the needle bearings were missing, I'm trying to figure out what actually caused the lash adjuster to lift up, then to be kicked out by the cam lobe..excessive oil pressure? Failed lash adjuster? No possible reasons suggested?
@martinbuiltКүн бұрын
The motor oil itself under pressure is what pumps up the lash adjuster. Even with oil in the lash adjuster they should not compress by hand. Generally poor oil change intervals are what causes the lash adjuster to fail being clogged by contaminants.

Beautiful Jeep. Do you have a walk around video of your XJ? I looked and couldn’t find anything.
@martinbuiltКүн бұрын
Thank you I really appreciate that. No unfortunately I don't have a walk around of the XJ there's so many times I've been wanting to do it and never get around to it.

Fan is mounted to the water pump and in the way. Gonna have to do something else because I don’t wanna take the entire thing apart just to take the belt off.
@martinbuilt16 сағат бұрын
It may be difficult but you should be able to slide the serpentine belt over the fan if necessary.

the 08 and up lifters where the rockers came from, have a different design as well. they have a larger inlet hole into the lifter body. I'm going to be doing the rocker and lifter 'upgrade' on an 04 HO motor.

Hey, nice to know but where in the calculate we add the Pushrods? Question is i want to build a 383 with a Xtreme CompCams its a 0.487 Int/ 0.495 Exh. and with OEM Style Arms i have the same Lift. Now the Question is bout the RockerArms how to figure out the Right one. Do i have to build the Engine Block and go through a real mesurement on Top Dead Center ? And and then build on the Head and use all kind of Pushrods, oder could i calculate the right one before
@martinbuilt8 күн бұрын
Comp Cam is calculating the lift with OEM rocker arm ratio.

10 mm what? If you have a borescope you could see if you can find it that way. And a magnet. It may have also fallen through one of the holes of the cylinder head and under the intake manifold. Good luck.

Can loose upper ball joints or a blown shock cause it? Less than a year and 3,000 miles ago, I replaced pretty much all of the suspension on my 04 Laredo 4.0 4x4 at 238,000 mi... replaced front and rear control arms, bushings, springs, isolators, and shocks, tie rod ends, track bar, drag link, sway bar end links and bushings, steering damper. All parts Moog except for the damper and shocks(Monroe) Out of nowhere today, I had severe death wobble at 70 mph. Never had it before, ever The upper ball joints have play (not using the traditional wheel shake, but when using large pliers to squeeze) and the DS front shock is leaking bad (already!) Thanks!

There is no way by removing the harmonic balancer will you ever affect the timing of the engine. Use the recommended torque spec as I provided. Thank you for watching

I tried to upgrade to heated mirrors on my WJ a few days ago but the replacement vibrated way too much. My original mirrors don't even vibrate. Is there a way to tighten something up inside of the housing? At this point I'm thinking to just try swapping the mirror itself instead of the entire assemblies. What are your thoughts or advice on this, Sir?
@martinbuilt15 күн бұрын
I don't understand why there would be any vibration compared to the non-heated mirrors. It's pretty much a removing replace.

Dragging your MIG?🤦♂️ You only drag if there's slag (stick weld), you always push with mig otherwise you're not getting proper penetration and are more prone to porosity which will lead to weld failure🤦♂️
@martinbuilt16 күн бұрын
When MIG welding, you can either push or pull the welding gun, and the choice depends on a number of factors, including the material, your experience, and your personal preference: Push This technique is often recommended for beginners and for welding aluminum. Pushing the gun away from the puddle can improve shielding gas coverage, clean the metal better, and reduce contamination. It can also help you see where you're going and make it easier to control the weld. Pull Some jobs require the pull technique. For example, you might need to pull the weld bead when welding steel.

What about the 4.0? I know you said you can possibly do it with other Chrysler vehicles, but I did not hear or see any mention of the 4.0. I only see people with 4.7 saying they've done it.
@martinbuilt17 күн бұрын
That is correct only the 4.7 with the 45rfe and 545rfe transmissions. Any other vehicles would be Dakotas and Durango's and Rams equipped with the same.
