It’s a BS system, but NASCAR said during media conference something to the effect of well NBA and NFL have playoffs and sometimes the best team all year doesn’t make it to the championships, but then in another breath, they don’t want to be compared to other sports leagues. And they don’t seem to care to change the system, they said the playoffs will not go away. But they need to change the win and you’re in format. It’s such BS that Larson isn’t in the final 4, and that Reddick, the regular season champion, almost missed making it in because of a couple of bad luck scenarios, and he had to win to get in after that.
