I think that canes are excellent - if you know how to use it. A local manufacturer forms the bottom "sheath" by pouring the fiber plastic down a tube with the blade already inside. So, the cane is completely solid - ideal as a stiking weapon with or without the blade inside.

A while ago, I took a blacksmithing class and actually forged a steel-bar metal cane with a pointed tip, perfect for my height. As it turns out, a badly-forged metal point on concrete isn't that great, and I don't have a limp or back problems, nor do I intend to ever get one. One suggestion I would add is to make a heavy-duty four-pronged walking cane so it looks like a necessity, as appose do an accessory. But yeah, thanks for the demonstration!

I have a flexible whip-like device with a flexible working end about 20" long and can be pre-tensioned by an adjustment in the handle. I've tried a few substitutes for the whip like cable or a plastic rod which would get past metal detectors in hidden in a cane---even bamboo! I've also made sword canes using fencing foil blades that are triangular in cross-section with a looped tip that it would be hard to allege were deadly weapons but would surely be unpleasant to have waving around in your face. Use like a whip, too. Just be sure if you make one that the handle is in line with the blade or IT will control YOU!

It’s the current that we kill the other person especially if they have a implanted Defibrillator or pacemaker. The shock from the stun gun will set off the defibrillator and WELL that’s too much juice for the average person . I’m 73 years old and have a defibrillator I worry too being shocked by a overzealous COP or a toy or laptop Basically anything with some batteries. I also have a self use massaging instrument. Its basically a massager like a Bed or recliner, it has patches that you stick on your body. It runs on two aaa batteries and the shock you can get with NEW batteries and the dial set on 10 will make you scream, so I gots to be very very careful.

I'm not sure where the heck you're at, but we felt that cane's quick arm jolt all the way up here in Maine. Some here thought it was a mild earthquake at first, but then I 'shocked them'(again) with the human reality involved. Nice ' authentic cane test', by the way. Thanks for being "fun knee" with us while you're teaching these things about your available, various self-defense canes. @@Karatemart You're welcome! Social support has 'weight'. Even broke-as-a-joke can lift up that much weight is how I personally feel and think. Yes, I will "have an excellent weekend" if you all promise to have one yourselves too! It's rainy here in Maine this morning, but it's the weather inside us that actually matters... so, so nice and sunny inside of me here this rainy April morning. My channel proves that I'm sunny and innocently silly if one is interested in seeing the Back Cove in Portland, and my second channel is "@MeBeeFunKnee" where I play around like I'm still a kid or something. Being 65, it's gotta be that 'something'. A doggy, convertible and a young new girlfriend is the usual route but I just can't swing it for now. Thanks again for taking it on the arm so we don't have to. I could swear I saw a 'difference' in personality as well as a deepening of voice right after you took that quick jolt. I once forgot to disengage the car batter on my Oldsmobile when I went to replace the starter, coil and alternator. The jolt I received lasted until the electron released my forehead 'glued' onto the oil pan! I 'drained' the system it seemed. Got a sudden head whack in the process. That electricity sure does grab a person good, stronger than a magnet snatches metal, even! Maine said, "Hello" again.

EXCELLENT VIDEO I carry a standard cane all the time because I have a bad back and I’m legally blind. I like the first one the best for daily use. A white cane makes people want to help you or possibly MUG you. HERE MY THOUGHTS: I wish I could get a cane with a blade at the end of the cane that would deploy by twisting(?) and lock to about 1.5 inches or a short thick conical ice pick shape. The short spike is probably actually better. It’s not a blade. You just want to make an attacker very disinterested. Like jabbing or scratching it into their thigh. 😊 I have had time to think about this. Make it at a reasonable cost with a good quality for ACTUALLY WALKING EVERYDAY, I WILL BUY A COUPLE OF THEM.

As a disabled guy I've been using a cane for a couple of decades now The wooden hook design canes are nice but ultimately hurt my hand after prolonged use, and I think the new collapsible metal style with the fitted handle are too light and flimsy for my taste, which leads to my problem. I'd like to get a sword-cane, but I keep imagining the sword rattling around inside the tube of the cane as I walk along using it - even if it is silent and fits well when first purchased. How strong is the tubing on the metal canes and what methods are used to secure the swords inside ? Are there ways to improve on it after purchase if necessary ? Thanks !

@@robertjosip1923 that sounds great Robert! If you haven’t watched the video I made 2 weeks ago about self-defense keychains, definitely check that out because I discuss pepper spray and test out a bunch of our EDC weapons. But, there is definitely more I can discuss on the subject, so I’m sure I’ll do another video specifically about EDC weapons in the future. Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestion. I really appreciate it!

Hahahaha…thanks Roy😂. That cracked me up! The laws in each State and often times even city are different as far as what you can own and carry. I would check your local laws to see if they are legal in your town. We have a bunch of different sword canes at various prices, so please feel free to check them out at www.Karatemart.com. Thanks so much Roy!!

Why not a handle with a laser pointer but instead of a single laser point you make a high power array spread pattern of hundreds of Asher points that will light up you attackers face or adjust to pattern the whole body so the attacker becomes highly visible also?

Are there canes for someone who is around 4 feet tall?
@Karatemart18 күн бұрын
That is an excellent question! Our indestructible plastic hook cane can be modified using a hacksaw to be short enough for someone of that height. I did a video on that cane last week on the Kombativ_com KZbin channel. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!

there's a good reason that, though a ficitonal character, Sherlock Holmes was an expert in cane martial arts. In fact Canne De Combat is one of the classic occidental martial arts.

I have a Wyatt Erp pistol on my sword cane. In Texas it's legal since September 2019 when Governor Abbott said since the Syrian refugees were cutting people's hands and heads off.. he made it legal to carry a sword in public Except in state and federal buildings.

Due, you're a bit crazy, aren't you? I actually volunteered for a stun gun demonstration... once! this was back in 1983 or '84 Not doing that again if I can help it. Good to know that you have personally tested the various stun devices that you sell.

I really love canes they are very useful tools for self-defense and i can´t say i have heard about stun canes before and i guess it was a shocking experience to get stunned by it. And here in Sweden stun canes or stun guns are illegal to use here as a regular person only cops are allowed to have those stun guns.
