He was an amazing teacher. I took 4 of his classes over 2 years. His human sexuality class changed me as a person. He wrote me a recommendation to PLU that was so nice, I didn't deserve it.

"The days are long, but the years are short" - Marty Lobdel
@asperoph46732 жыл бұрын
I'm 26. And, I'll count my chronological age separately. The pure white hair and the wisdom definitely touched pass me. I count my blessings on KZbin, Classroom of the Elite, White Room Torture, Dark Psychology. Humanity is what makes life worth living. My take on spirituality was peace. Happiness and Sadness both are waves of life like an ECG monitor. Sometimes you definitely have to let go, to catch the brass rings, and you will fall. I soaked every word in it and I hope to maintain this positivity, but not expect it. Words and Interpretation are two distinct terms and from where I stand in my life, having longest cold days, I feel re-wired, or a genetic mutation Thank you for your lectures and sparking my interest in Psychology. Thank you Mr. Lowell, Parikshit 🦄

Indeed, we need more teachers similar to this man. “What can I do to help you be successful?” If only more teachers had that mindset, it would be empowering towards students to learn, continue to move forward and “reach that brass ring!” I would’ve enjoyed having this man as a Professor 👨🏫

My eldest son and I ran across his "Study Less, Study Smart" lecture at different times and for different reasons. I was going to send it to him after watching it myself, and he beat me to it. So I watched, laughed, re-learned the same lessons that my generation was taught as we went through school... and my son sees me watching and began to rant and rave about it and what he learned. I smirked. I couldn't get though, but Marty did. For that, if nothing else, I thank you. I hope you're well all these years later.

I watched a couple of his classes on youtube, I don't know what is the main reason for me to have a feeling that I almost knew him as if I physically had been existed in one of his classes before! It could be his intimacy or humanistic approach or it could be his teaching style the way he used anologies and/or anactodes. As a matter of fact, It's not an easy task to strike a balance at the times of trying to keep the audience attendance high by both being able to maintain authority and make some funny jokes during the lectures to foster studying as a part of learning process and help students tap into their dynamics to sequeeze more out of the lesson in a given interval of limited time! I have a feeling that he is really passionate about teaching! He is extremely disciplined and probably self-thought most of the stuff over the course of avarage life span one might expect to live! That's why I think he said initially that I wish I could have enough time to cover everything at the beginning of the lesson in the classroom. If you given a thought and there is a bitter side to it...! Actually, the truth is this kind of personalites with a great sense of humour in fact are scarce on Earth! Seriously, I wish we have teachers like him for every each of our classes crucial to the study of field in subject. There is no deny on the way that he diligently harnessed the leveriging power of effective study by deploying the strongest side for almost every different learning techniques through the eyes of multidisciplinary aproach! It's an annoying feeling that I am afraid teachers like him are in danger of extinction and it's very sad he is not around to teach us on the fundamentals of effective strategies and key concepts more along the way through his invaluable perspective! One of the untimely loss of our loseless time! God Bless Prof. Marty Lobdell.

He is spot on when it comes to when a woman has hit that point where something inside her flicks off and she will no longer love a man. Trust me its not for punishment or lack of care, its because a woman has literally tried everything in her power and has mustered up every ounce of resolve, patience and endurance she has been able to for the last however long and there simply isn't anything left. Unfortunately, its during that time when they are about to hit "E" that they come off as a nag, because what they are really trying to do is to desperately plea with you to care enough to listen, consider them and respond with actual empathy or understanding. Every action or word that is used during that phase that is not geared toward answering that plea with love and understanding is typically understood as reinforcement to the woman that "I no longer matter" this relationship "no longer matters" and has been typically gone on for a very long period and has been exhausted. ~ Love this man's wisdom. Glad to have stumbled across it.

There is one more lecture of Professor Lobdell. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGXJYYduaZish5Y The professor retired a few years back. This was one of his lectures that he would conduct each quarter to help students. Upon his retirement he wanted his advice to continue to help students to maximize their studying and improve their grades. He now writes books and has commented early on about his books. If you would like to look through the comments you may find it, but it has been years since he was active.
