I have a 2018 Mazda Cx-9 and it's the best!! My daughter is picking her 2016 Mazda Cx-9 Touring up this weekend. She got for just under 19k with 75k miles. Great deal!

I have owned a 2018 Grand Touring with the Soul Red Metallic/Tan leather interior combo for almost 2 years. I currently have 62k miles and have had no issues. I agree about how fun this car is to drive and the "premium" feel def punches above it's price point. The best feeling is all random compliments I get from strangers whonaren't familiar with the Mazda brand. Completely happy with my purchase and I was a DEVOUT Toyota guy previously.

After driving a float-boat 2011 honda Odyssey i fell in love immediately. Reminds me of my 2000, and 2005 honda Odysseys with stiff suspensions and crisp steering!

I actually own a used 2019 CX-9 GS trim which I got last year. After 1 year of use, the only problem I got was a battery change. I was still lucky that it was still under warranty and had it replaced with a new battery for free.

That's real wood trim, not plastic 👍. We bought a used 2020 with 6.6k miles and now have 40k. I've done all the oil changes and did the spark plugs at 38k. The car has been very reliable and hopefully it lasts a few years.

I'm looking to buy one, same year, grand touring spec... has about 66k. I"m not too savvy on their common drivetrain or engine issues, but wondering if the extended is a must. i really like these cars and the 2016s are at a good price right now.

So, when you chose CX9 that really means its a SPORTY suv, because I am sure you wouldn't go anything less being a driving enthusiast . I bought a 2020 100th anniversary CX 9 and virtually I dont want to get out of the car because its that nice and sporty. Thanks this review and cant wait to see more modifications from you :)

I got CPO 2019 Signature summer 2021. Great vehicle! This thing is a great cruiser; it’s very quiet. You will enjoy road trips with your family. If my previous Mazda experience is any indication, you should have a worry-free ownership experience. We gifted our 2005 Mazda 3 S to a friend after 13 years of ownership and over 213k miles on it.

Great lookin suv, but they got rid of the V6, a great engine. Everyone is going with the 4 cylinder turbo, its weak and loud. Bring back the 6, why do these car companies always have to ruin everything.

We have a 2016 Grand Signature. It has been a great ride until now. I started smelling the sweet smell of coolant a few weeks ago. Soon after, droplets on the ground. Researched coolant leaks on 2.5 Skyactive turbos. There is a TSB regarding an issue with bad castings on cylinder heads. Unfortunately, not covered past warranty. Fortunately I have an extended warranty and am waiting to see how much of this $7400 estimate will be covered 😢😢😢😢

The shifter thing must be to mimic a manual transmission. typically to down shift you would push the shifter up and the reverse.
@LensOfMartin2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a motorsport thing maybe. I’ve owned and driven many manual cars and it still doesn’t feel right to me, but maybe because my Lexus (and other autos with manual mode) have upshift as up and downshift as down 🤔 But they also have paddles shifters, where the CX-9 doesn’t. 🤷♂️
@steveshumate19832 жыл бұрын
@@LensOfMartin You're probably right about motosports. For instance i thin k most rallycross type cars only do up and down shifting like that, and i'm sure other types do as well

So in other words this is the Brave New World we live in where our choice is between a turbocharged four-cylinder that will likely fall apart after 100000 miles or a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder that has less power than a wind-up toy. Wow. Kind of depressing.
@LensOfMartin Жыл бұрын
Haha it’s not that bad. Plenty of these engines with close to 200k miles. But of course turbo means wear. The best options is a V6 but most manufacturers are going away from those. I like a V8 myself but when I do drive this Mazda, it’s a fun zippy little SUV. Feels more like a lifted wagon.
