Instruction videos are much alike, your ultimate judge should be ‘does it sound like what I’m trying to play’ and 99.9% of instruction video makers don’t get there. The solo in this one isn’t right and the reason it doesn’t sound quite right is that it needs more distortion, but a lot of KZbinrs make that mistake.

And i'm not just saying that because every comment says how hard you work, its because im barely know anything about guitar and you have just showed me how to play a whole song. If you can teach the everyday person that visits this channel that's saying something... keep up the great work. Subscribed and liked!

This guy is an amazing teacher. Especially for beginners. Explains the chord names, notes, plays fast, slow and everything in between. Unbelievable. Way better than the guys who say OK SO ITS AN Fsharp into a pentatonic finger mctwisty and then you wanna use your toes for this sweepy macdaddy followed by the X power chord and remember we are in drop D-1 tuning with a £75000 amp and seventeen pedals that I won't show you.

I have watched a lot of tutorial videos of this song, yours are the BEST! No BS, no showing off, no tab behind paywall. You make sense of the whole thing (shape and fingering), and the solo part is brilliant (it's hard for a beginner to figure these out from tab alone). Actually this riff is the reason why I got my electric guitar... First I tried to follow your video to learn the main riff on an acoustic guitar, and it shocked me that it's actually playable and sound like the real thing. Now the main riff's already OK, the solo it's on its way. So many thanks for you! Without your video it definitely would take me much longer to begin shredding! (if you call that beginner stuff shredding). Keep on doing this, when I'm at the comfortable level I'll probably go get your ES-335. 😀

Don’t worry, it comes in time. I’ve had my guitar for 9 months now and, although difficult for me to do large stretches, these come in time. You just need to adjust and get used to it. I’ve had to do arpeggios that were on the seventh fret to the 13th fret on the e string. It comes along as long as you keep trying.

The less skilled ones were left to play the simplest songs for grades. Now a college grad, it's been years since I touched my acoustic. Saw a lot of instruction videos on this song and so many just aren’t playing it with the distortion it needs. It’s a punk song! I’m still not convinced of the little stutter he’s doing when he’s not playing that F#5 chord, it’s not just open strings he’s doing some form of harmonic or muting there. Also, the solo is definitely not all one shape, there’s more to it than that. It’s not two guitars it’s because this isn’t how you play it.
