it's giving way more mileage now, it's been driven around 45k kms now n it's giving mileage around 16-17kmpl easily on hilly highways with ac on easily. But on straight highways/expressways it gives easily around 20kmpl n it ofcourse depends on ur driving habit n pressure on accelerator pedal. Depending on which believe me you can also get around 30kmpl. One more thing I would like to share here.... that i have also get my steering column replaced as it had some issue in the third year only n thanks to 4 years of extended warranty. And now I am again experiencing the same problem just after 1 year of its replacement n now warranty is also over. Anyone else have faced this steering column issue???

sagar narang yes body panels are weak and can get dents easily as compared to other cars. Because of these light body panels this car is able to deliver such a good mileage. Safety is ok since it has got 3 stars and structure was found stable after crash.

+JB Verma yes, it's as efficient but there is the rubber band effect at higher RPMs. The new 1.2-litre motor is way better in most aspects than the G13B in your old Swift.

yes the baleno is much more fuel efficient and has much more interior equipements list than i20 but baleno understeers like crazy and its weight distribution is a disaster. i20 has the higher lower band torque which makes it easy to zip through traffics and sharp turning circles

By the way in your video itself at time intervals of 3:08 to 3:15 and 4:42 to 4:44 the boleno understeered so much that even after 2 cuts of steering correction and oversteering ,the body of boleno was unstable.

I am looking for a hatchbag for myself and thus had been browsing about Baleno for like a week now. I went for a test drive today for Baleno Alpha petrol. No doubt car is better looking than swift but lacks the beauty of elite i20. My personal test drive experience was a disappointment. Car lacked the pickup that I was expecting from a brand new car, again it wasn't too bad either. Then another thing I noticed was car engine noise, which I was hearing with all the windows up on increasing the race everytime. Which was a big turn off. I mean I have been driving i10 for 5 years now and its still better silent than this new Baleno I drove. But yeah it was a test vehicle, maybe roughly handled. Advice for others in hurry to buy Sigma model of this car.. Sigma is having terrible interiors, exteriors, maybe even worse than Maruti alto.. Its not mentioned anywhere in the brochure. Do check it before you make a booking by just looking at the top variants shown at the NEXA showrooms. Again thats my two cents..
