i have taken the test drive... it have a space.. alott... but its not that tough built.. i checked steel sheets of this. its like paper sheet.. body roll is there while overtaking above 80kmph.. i20 is better then this. quality and handling wise both.

+PowerDrift First, let me say that you guys are doing a good job in reviewing cars and motorcycles, good work as always. I think the styling of the front grille could have been done better. In my personal opinion, the i20 Elite still looks much better. I agree that the interior and exterior design of the Maruti has improved. Keep giving us the reviews. I have a suggestion to make... I think you should reduce the volume of music, especially the bass note in your reviews. I don't know whether it will appease every viewer, but avoiding music while you are describing or talking would be welcome, in this video, the bass note was interfering with your explanation in some parts of the video.

Aha! So TenHut is back... Super. I have a question. Most Maruti cars are going lighter. I think many other brands are also taking the same track for the sake of the Indian mentality - kithna detha hai. But aren't good cars known for its sturdiness? I thought stronger and heavier cars offer more safety and stability. Though these lighter cars come with airbags, how efficient are the airbags when a car's door gets a dent even by a fist punch? What's your opinion sir?

Light doesn't mean necessarily mean unsafe. The structural rigidity is what we should be looking for. And yes we agree, airbags et all won't help if the shell crumbles like a tin can, but then do remember that the Baleno is a global platform too, we are hoping to see its NCAP ratings soon.

Loved your presentation. I am waiting for a comparo between i20 elite and this car, and may be Jazz thrown in into the mix. Now, I need a suggestion. The price difference between Zeta and Alpha trim of diesel varient being over 70K, is the projector headlamp, rearview camera and infotainment system worth the difference? How much extra would it cost if at some later date the projector headlamp and rearview cam is installed on the Zetta trim?

But, I am apprehensive what kind of premium experience they are going to make me feel, and whether it would turn out too costly! ;) I usually hate sales people hovering over and trying to feed more that what I need. Haven't met anyone yet who have bought from Nexa. Given how popular S-Cross had been it was not any wonder.

Car Manufacturers in India do not give importance to the safety of people but give importance to all the goodies inside it ..... A friend of mine is confused between Baleno, i20 and Polo, I gave him this advice: I think you should test drive all three first, you get a much better idea that way. Maruti hasn't been able to make a good premium car (something more expensive than a swift) so far, it has failed terribly with its models like kizashi, SX4 and even ciaz which is terrible at that price point, so even though baleno looks like it'd be great, I would see it for myself first (or wait for the team-bhp review which is actually more informative than seeing it yourself). I have an alto and I think it's an amazing car for its price, same thoughts for the swift too but driving cars like ciaz has made me very skeptical of Maruti. They seriously don't offer value for money in higher segment, though the case may be different for baleno, which we may need to wait to see. Polo is a car that has been consistently liked, is quite popular, and has been greatly improved and evolved with time, especially the 2015 model which has all the features you'd find in other cars along with the quality of volkswagen in driving experience and overall quality of everything (suspension, gearbox etc.) which other manufacturers haven't been able to match (you'd see them referring to the 'European thud' while closing the doors in car reviews, that's the quality they are referring to, vw group makes very strong bodies are very safe and we'll engineered structurally). I am also a little biased towards vw though I think you'll be able to feel the difference too if you test drive, and Polo has been constantly referred to as the most 'fun' hatchback in the segment to drive. We could go to the car showrooms some day and have a test drive and observe other details too, or wait for more in depth reviews as it has been launched recently. ---------------- Did I give a good advice? I don't know much about Baleno.
