@@Obelix5658 well, the GNCAP rating is questionable.. it does not directly mean safer car.. although, a 5 star rated car is generally more safe than a 2 star one.. but there are cars with 0-2 star rating,which are safer than many 4 star rated cars ...

@@Obelix5658 ok.. for ex: first of all for each star rating the gncap has some basic hardware and electronics requirements which need to be met otherwise they will not award that star.. electronics like abs or 6 air bags, etc. suppose a car has very stable crash structure and has amazing suspension but lacks these features. That car will get 0-1 star as it is not eligible for even 1 star or 2 star maybe. (Don't remember the exact criteria for each star)..every additional star has some basic requirements. Keep that in mind. Obviously if a car gets 4 stars then if is a relatively safe car but that does not mean the 2 star rated car is unsafe.. secondly, GNCAP says on it's website that if manufacturers don't sponsor the test then they will not test the car.. Now, what they mean is that they will test it but certain advanced tests like pole crash test from the side. Instead they will award stars based on the result of other tests. That means some star rated cars will be tested on different standards than the 5 stars rated cars that are sponsored.. Now, tell me are they reliable enough? I mean GNCAP or any safety test numbers only mean something if you know exactly how the tests were conducted on that particular car and how the standard works.. also, different rating agencies test vehicles at different speeds.. till now maruti was using the Japanese star rating which test the cars at lower speeds.. A crash test done at 65 kmph will be way different that one done at 75 kmph..

They aren't same price Baleno Base itself getting flat discount of 60,000 in November another 10K one can bargain, and New Dzire not even 1 rupee discount in the estimate given to me the difference is around 70k for both base variants.
