Nice observation. There is no point striking about magnite and kiger apart from safety. Renault and Nissan are surely going to fail in India if no new car comes from them within a year.

Personally, I feel like the red Fronx while doing off-roading does look like a large SUV. While the Jimny was the showstealer till now, I'm sure that down the line Fronx will also witness increased sales.

If Maruti Suzuki can price it correctly then for Tata Punch it's "Khatam Tata Goodbye Gaya". Better looks,more comfort,better engine,better after sales,better drive quality except good build quality Fronx ticks all the boxes it can even affect the sales of its own sibling Baleno. Clever move by Maruti Suzuki at the right time.

You pointed out absolutely a major flaw of marutis the damn steering don't return to the original position on it's own despite being power assisted infact the mechanical ones return quickly and easily to the central position.

If MSIL Price it correctly, it will take some Tata Share which is currently a big threat to Maruti. If MSIL fails to price it properly then it will cannibalize Baleno and Brezza

Couple of things didn't liked about the Fronx 1. The name is very unusual 2. Boosterjet engine only kicks out 100hp 3. High loading lip for the boot 4. Soft seats 5. No CVT for 1.2 petrol Also what is left is the crash test rating. It has to get it done by Global NCAP.

I drive a diesel alpha 2019 baleno.... It clocked 1.5l kms and recently overhauled suspension and bang it's as good as new and easily achieves 25kmpl on highways if I maintain 80kmph

Dear autocar, please review the 1.2 NA fronx too. Not everyone wants a turbo petrol. Also please update us on the ride quality of Fronx, especially compared to its sibling Brezza. Is the suspension more stiff than brezza? Are uneven roads & potholes more felt inside the cabin?

Top review by Sergius and very good product by Maruti. I'm just curious whether the 1.2 being a 4 cylinder is more refined than the 3 cylinder boosterjet. Can anyone respond on that ?

Thank you and as for the refinement of the two engines, we will be doing a back to back hopefully soon, but if you're worried about the boosterjet because its a 3 cylinder you shouldn't be. It's refined and also does not have that typical 3 cylinder loud thrum at idle.

Modern automatic cars have computers, which are 4 times faster than human brain. These computers keep on monitoring speed, braking, acceleration, turning, fuel usage etc. every second. The computer in Fronx Alpha Automatic use the data to maximize the fuel consumption, for better average. Driving with light foot and avoiding the tendency to race the car does wonders with fuel economy. The Driving style is constantly monitored by computer and fuel supply to engine is constantly tuned to the style of driving of the individual. When the style gets stabilized, the fuel intake and other parameters also get stabilized, which change only when the driving pattern changes drastically. My fuel economy has improved as follows - (A) Bumper to Bumper traffic - initially average was 8 or 9, then improved to 11 now comfortably giving 13 kmpl. (B) congestion free roads - initially average was 10 or 11, then improved to 12 now comfortably giving 14 to 16.5 kmpl. (C) Suburbs - 18.5 kmpl. (D) Highways - Not tested so far. Driving with a light foot and a little imagination and patience results in very impressive mileage.
