Coupes still have high ground clearance which is the main selling point for SUVs, which sedans simply don't have. As such, sedans are never making a comeback

Yes, only yesterday when there was a heavy rainfall, everyone except me were using hazard lights, it annoyed me so much. And this is inside city where a lot of them stop on the side.

Wow!! 8 Lakh for over-4 metre coupe-SUV! It goes to show how overpriced the rest of automotive market is, especially in this segment. So glad that Citroen is putting some real effort to appeal to Indian customers, and really hope they do well this time. Basalt looks really upmarket compared to that half-baked effort by our Tata.

This is an evergreen coupe design. Nothing to not like about this Design. The curvv one i didn't like the design at first, but having said that, the more I look at the curvv (through mobile screen ofcourse) the more it's growing on me. But this design here is perfect. Curvv is a little bit funky. If Basalt is a millennial, then Curvv is the GenZ

I am an existing customer of Citroën. Honestly, performance-wise, the C3 is great, but in terms of safety and features, it falls short. You realize the importance of features and safety when you drive it daily or on long-distance trips. Safety and a few important features are a MUST. Citroën hasn’t learned that yet, especially for the Indian market. I am dying to sell it ASAP.

Absolutely agree on the Hazard lights. Putting them on and driving also inhibits you from indicating any turns or lane changes that you make , which is very important when visibility is low .

Another uneducated hazard light nuisance is inside tunnels. Almost everyone lits up the hazard light once entering tunnel and in the dim lit tunnel, the blinking hazard light is super disorienting and inconvenient. Wish people learn and follow the correct procedure. Wonder how many car owners actually reads the car manual 😁.

Its a Fantastic comeback by citroen. They heard what the market wanted and came back applying it on major aspects. The pricing seems on point considering what they are providing with. A point of factor comes down only to the safety then. Great job though!

Citroën played their cards well. With the initial C3 launch, they set lower expectations for upcoming projects, and now they offer features that are standard in the industry. However, for us, it felt like they did something extraordinary.

This car has 6 airbags standard with 40+ safety features ,1.2L with turbo ,app support, 470L boot space, more leg space , more comfort etc.. Fronx is also a great car it's reliable , great mileage , available in cng , many dealers,etc.. For comfort & style : Citroen For power & milage : Fronx My honest opinion 🙌

During rain front fog light and head light is ok. But what about rear when you expect the vehicle coming from behind does not hit you. ( Rear visibility in heavy rain )

When the headlights are on, the taillights are also on. Also many cars have rear fog lamps which need to be turned on in low visibility conditions. Basically the only time to use them while on the move is if speeds are very low like in a procession, or you are coming to an unexpected emergency halt. The use is detailed in the motor vehicle act.

I don't get why people are calling Basalt Value for money or cheap. The base model price is literally 9 Lakhs on road which is the exact same (even slightly higher) as it's competitors Venue, Sonet & Fronx since it's pitched in the same segment. Comparing Basalt with Curvv is just pointless as they are entirely different segment cars. So the price difference will be obvious.

Hazard lights or parking lights are not be used in rains or tunnels you cannot show your blinkers left or right please don't use them as standard. Good car if you keep in mind the pricing and it is better then some sub 4 meter cars but you can't compare it with other 4.3 meter cars like creta and seltos just because its length is also 4.3 meter. A lot of big features are not there and the quality of the infotainment screen and drivers display and even the audio system is just not comparable with other segment leaders.

I would like to see a comparison with all the options available @ 7.99L so that the true value for money car in terms of space, comfort, maintenance can be decided. Citroen is expanding its network to 200 dealers. If the market is only interested in gadget cars that can't do the basic job of giving a comfortable ride from point A to B then we won't be able to get more of these cars. I prefer a no nonsense car that gives a magic carpet ride and memorable drives with family. I don't need all the forced tech as I believe I'm capable of driving well without any assistance.

This door handles are durable and long lasting without any squeeze sounds and days after losing the spring actions... More than modern day things old ones are more conventional and best in terms of reliability and durability

Looks wise, it reminds me of the Vauxhall Vectra I used to drive in the UK, back in 2001-2003. Very chic European coupe design, with ample room, comfortable seats and a sunroof. Basalt could have done with 17 inchers and a sunroof, to make it a real attractive package

Looks good. Looks like easy and everyday car. Pricing should be good for citron to get many customers. If the engines, and gearbox are also reasonably reliable, they have a big winner.
