0:07 0:07 0:07 I am 69+ and I took my Jimny from Kanyakumari to Ladakh including Umling La at 19024 ft- the worlds highest motorable pass(a total of 9400kms). It's not a highway car but in the mountains it holds its own. It will drive through mud, slush and snow whether it is a good road or rough track.Off road its unbeatable. I, for one, am very happy. A car for all seasons. But its not a car for everyone.

We all want a car that is bulletproof, can survive anything, and yet doesn’t cost much to maintain-no DPF issues, no AdBlue, and almost as reliable as a Land Cruiser due to its minimal electronics. And still, people opt for a rear-wheel-drive Thar just for an ego boost. It’s a classic case of a great product failing because of an uninformed audience. Certainly, it's a future classic-the only Maruti I've ever loved 😍.

Well said Jaspreet. Many need a vehicle with long term reliability and durability with a bulletproof engine. But the mentality of our Indian consumers is that they need a big touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, 500 bhp engine, 100 kmpl, etc... all for below 5 lakh rupees. None of them see the purpose of specific vehicles, the mechanical reliability and long term durability. And oh yes everyone need vehicles with big road presence otherwise they are not worth the money. I dont know when the mentality of our people will change and focus on finer mechanical aspects with better performance and long term durability where manufacturers can focus on higher quality products in wider segments.

My Jimny has clocked 13,000 km in just over 1.3 years, effortlessly tackling almost every terrain. I have to say, it's an incredible piece of engineering! A true all-rounder that brings a smile to my face every time I get behind the wheel. I driven 23000 km in 11 months most loved vehicle and no worries and no tension with my jimny. I get milage of 15.5 km in highway and city get around 12 km. Most sensible SUV in this segment.

Me too. The Jimny gives you a nice chill feeling. Embrace that and a relaxed drive is really good for the mileage. Also any annoyance can be very easily overcome with the vast global aftermarket ecosystem. I have the throttle controller which is a must. You will stop complaining about the lack of power.

Jimny Manual Transmission has no power issues in the highway as it is 5 speed MT. Best all rounder and great off roader even with its stock tyres. Since December 2023 I am enjoying the drive through many types of terrains. Did some serious off roads as well. Less road tax, less insurance premium, no DEF issues, and less maintenance cost compared to other 4x4 vehicles in India.

There is a manufacturing defect in the Jimny with propeller shaft touching the frame. Hope reviewers talk about the negative things also especially in a long term report. Maruti Suzuki will be doing a recall soon.

6 months 13000 kms. Loving every bit of this small Jeep. Peppy in City, lots of attention seeking, well built, no squeaks, and love it on the highway at a comfortable speed of 100. My best buy. AVG fuel eff of 14. City and highway combined. Never worry about bad roads or off roads ever again.

I driven 3600 km in 2 months in My 2023 jimny MT alfa Dule tone which i got on road 11.67 lac Hyderabad 2 months back. Milage 15.1_16.3 in highway( avarage speed 80kmph)and 13.7-14.5 in City (avg speed 20kmph).

My jimny third service cost only 1300 rs in Ladakh, including oil change and filter change(😊).. initial impression was a mixed feeling as I was the victim of Maruti Suzuki biased pricing strategy where i had to pay 14.2 for base model and my colleagues paid 12.5 for top models.... kudos to Maruti Suzuki pricing team where mathematics leaves the conversation 😅.... though I love my Jimmy and its the only companion of mine in Ladakh. I was also featured in the July publications of @Autocar India, and thanks to Sh. Its my daily commuter to office and i use it for long drives , I have a manual 5 speed gear box and it gives better milaegae than automatic and btter control than the automatic variant . I have driven 13000 km with it so far an amzing all rounder car . Jimny 🚙❤

Now with the cheapest 4x4 5 door Thar costing around 26L on-road Mumbai, Jimny makes a lot of sense - that is if you want a proper offroader. If you want an ego boost, then maybe not.

3 door Jimmy is much more suitable as a lifestyle vehicle but maruti had to be like let's spend multiple crore rupees for a DOA vehicle. Jimmy 5 door was overpriced by 1.5 - 2.5 lakh. If they were to price it a little competitively than maybe it would have been a well received product.

like thar roxx a medium sized pano sunroof, 6 speed TC gearbox of other suzuki cars, tyre size upgrade, rare ac vents and some minor upgrades to car mechanicals and designs can make gimny absolutely perfect

If not for the pricing disaster, this car would’ve sold a lot more. Potential Jimny buyer here for my second car. People miss that the Thar rwd 3 door and Jimny are very different vehicles. The Thar diesel is very good for our bad roads. But this little Jimny will give a trouble free 15 years, with slightly better off road and ride comfort.

Absolutely, I fail to understand what people mean by it will only do 100 kmph? Anything past 100kmph is risky on Indian highways anyways due to the sheer number of dumb people and things on the highway. Only on expressways you need 100+ consistently. And how frequently one travels over expressways? Most of the time the car would be at your home so make decisions accordingly. And about mileage, I am getting 14-15kmpl in hills on highways where I used to get 17-18kmpl from my old ignis. So for the hardware it's more than good. If you rev hard, it won't give mileage and no other car would.

I simply Love my little Jimny. Driving it in the city is like having a 4 wheeled motorbike. It is narrow and agile and I love that small naturally aspirated engine. There is a lot of fun driving a relatively slower car at a relatively faster pace. And the Jimny’s engineering and small compact nature makes it lovable. If you know how to manage a manual gearbox, the Jimny Manual is very rewarding. I even love taking it on highways and of course on any kind of road or trail. I definitely am happy to have sold my Thar Petrol AT HT in favour of the nimble little Manual Jimny.

Contact your nearest Nexa service center. They will replace your king pin & most likely the disc rotor under warranty. They have already started fixing this issue for everyone who have faced this issue.

The engine is highly tunable upto 200BHP which can make it a great powerhouse so power issue can be easily solved by a supercharger and tuning

Jimny is best off road capable car in India and very popular in Europe and Middle East. It's compact size gives it direct advantage over Thar 5 door. It's very suitable for narrow, hill stations. If anyone has option for buying 2 cars. 1. Should be Scorpio N and 2nd should be Jimny.

I agree their safety is not par with these companies but Maruti manufactures less cost cars and provide features matches to cost. So no need to complain.
