I was 7 in 1992 when this came out and it’s my FAVORITE animated series of all time. I still have the Pizza Hut VHS tapes!! I still have all the action figures from the 90’s and I even have the entire X-Men 90’s arcade game in my house. This is what led me to watch/love superheroes. Nobody is more hyped than I am right. If you steeped in my man cave you would see I’m not lying. I’m a OIF Army vet and man I might shed a tear when this comes on. It means that much to me and so many other 90’s kids.

The arcade game was based on the pilot for a different show, the pilot being Pryde of the X-men. You can tell that easily because Dazzler, who isn't in X-men the animated series, is a character in the arcade game.

Hey I'm just hyped to see that Disney is actually promoting this properly, and the animation seems top notch. It reminds me of how, Batman The Animated series was when it first came out. It was meant for kids, but had a serious adult undertone to it, and it had great animation for it's time. Hopefully this series can be that type of excellence, because it's been awhile since we've seen something like this as a animated series... Great comic book action that's faithful to the comic books, with excellent animation, great story telling, and entertaining to both children and adult fans alike.

I've never been so excited for an animated series. This was the most interesting intricate marvel project back in the 90s. The intensity and complexity of the situations at hand were phenomenal. There were obviously cheesy overlays of action and dialogue but for the most part it was very mature and very relevant.

I'm kind of interested in the justification for bringing back the Sentinels since Bolivar Trask seemed to have learned a valuable lesson from S1E13: "The Final Decision" during the exchange with Master Mold: "What are you doing? You were created to protect humans FROM Mutants!" "That is illogical. Mutants ARE Humans, therefore humans must be protected from themselves". "In my attempt to try and protect humans, I have instead truly created something inhuman". I know that the Sentinels are shown again, during Magneto's liberation of Genosha, and other episodes of Season 4, though usually dealing with alternate futures or the small cadre that survived the fallout from S1E13 where Morph returns and Master Mold, now a disembodied head, is trying to rebuild his body with a near-indestructible alloy. Just seems kind of odd, but Nightcrawler being shown looks cool. Whether they'll actually honor his character by keeping him Catholic is something else. I kind of hope for Colossus, Cable, and Archangel to show up. I think Sinister was teased along with X-Cutioner. Hopefully Havok and Stryfe can come back as more than 2 second cameos. I'd love for Apocalypse to show up again, though I don't know how they could get anyone to replace John Collicos (the closest I think would be David Kaye.... yeeeessss...).
