Honestly I feel like X of Swords was a cool yet complicated story to explain how to get Apocalypse off Krakoa! There's definitely some elements in there that explains some history and leaves seeds for later stories. Yet the clear objective was to remove Apocalypse for now.

I think its funny how Rob considers whether a story is good or bad based on the amount of information given. For him, a story needs to explain everything, how powers work, who is behind what, where or what timeline its apart of, etc. Etc.

This was a fun and interesting story, but I -really- felt like significant portions were omitted, like, you omitted that Magik was the first sword, WHO the swords were, until it was covering their story, and the 9th swordsman was omitted completely. Why Gorgon, and why did he get 2 swords? Shouldn't that have been relevent? Also, you really need to just confess your feelings to Jim Jaspers man, you got it bad for him.

I’m pretty sure Logan can still move as a skeleton because the cartilage and tendons are covered in adamantium too which in turn covers the nevers that run over the skeleton, which connects to the the spinal cord which leads straight to the brain, which is all covered in adamantium...just some logic ya know

he'd still need muscles to drive all this heavy metal structure, and a few organs give or take to keep some blood going to feed it all... short of a silver surfer kinda skin that covers everything, or just plot armor, logically he'd still have to lay down and think about things for a bit, if he got blasted down to bones

Love your videos Rob and incredibly appreciative of these full Explained videos but I kinda wish Tini Howard were given her flowers. X of Swords was mostly a Hickman/Howard project and it's well documented that she had just as much of an influence in this storyline as Hickman.

It seemed to me that Saturnyne manipulated everyone in a ploy to get Brian Braddock but it back fired. The X men end up going through all the trouble for x of sword yet in the end everything was for nothing and they're in denial of being manipulated. that's how I interpret this arc.

I decided to buy Marvel unlimited at the start of the year because I wanted to get more into the comics after I've been obsessed with marvel since the start of the MCU. Last year I watched the whole of the 90's X-Men and ever since have been obsessing over X-Men, and since buying Unlimited, I haven't done anything but read the whole new ear of X-Men since House and Powers of X and I absolutely love it! and ive just finished the X of Swords and its been great, and cant wait for more! You mentioned, the scarab in a wine reduction. Where I can't say I've tried scarab, I would assume it would taste similar to stag beetle. Roast stag beetle was amazingly close to the taste of crab with the flesh consistency of lobster. I tried it with garlic, lemon, thyme, and just a dash of dill and it was delicious to be honest.
