Say what you will about the plot, however Jason Fabok's art is absolutely amazing as ever. Those panels where Darkseid appears behind and then approaches Scott Free/Mr. Miracle, wow, just wow, I loved how ominous and sinister Darkseid looked.

It's really annoying how easy it is for Superman to just become corrupted. For somebody so powerful, I would hope that he has the mental fortitude or foresight to stop that kind of thing happening.. but oh no, Superman touched this weird stone and now he's gone mad. Fun fact: Darkseid actually helped the heroes beat the Anti-Monitor way back during Crisis on Infinite Earths. He dealt the second-last major blow to the Anti-Monitor.

Honestly the climax of Darkseid War was a little underwhelming, but overall I loved the story. I love the way Jason Fabok draws Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Darkseid. The Green Lantern issue is one of my favorite issues of all time. I also love the real first appearance of Grail in issue #41 when she wrecks everyone.

The whole idea of being able to destroy universes/multiverses is just dumb and removes the reader from any resemblance of worrying about the outcome because if the villain is that strong, they can just teleport to the other side of the universe, snap its fingers, and done. Comics need to come back down to Earth.
