@@logosxyz8109 You’re going to LOVE IT! If you’re new to Dice Throne, just make sure you learn the rules well for that game first before you jump into Missions. If you already know how to play DT, you’ll be jumping in and playing Missions very quickly. Enjoy the game!

@@kghhgkgk6322 I wanted to buy the sleeves from their website but the shipping was a little too steep for my liking. If you have a local game store in your area, try them out first. There’s a good chance they’ll have a few copies to sell and you won’t have to deal with the shipping costs.

The campaign hasn't finished shipping so yeah it won't be available anywhere until then. Barnes and noble carries retail copies of dice throne so I bet they will carry most of this in a couple of months

@@abranna1 Thank you! It was not scripted but since I’ve done so many reviews already, I had a good idea of what I want to talk about. DT Missions made it easy for me to talk about the game. If anything, I forgot to mention a few things I wanted to talk about during the pros/cons section but I squeezed it into the closing comments. All I had to do was film gameplay to show you what I was talking about. I’m glad you enjoyed the review and I appreciate your comment. I hope you receive your copy quickly so you can enjoy it. You’re going to love it! This is going to become a popular game amongst the people that play it.

@@Paper_Smith Marvel DT Missions is fantastic! Freedom Five is another board game I’d like to play. Both are good choices from what I’ve seen from Freedom Five. I’m sure you’d like either one you choose. I watched the first couple of episodes last year but after the pipes burst in the basement and caused chaos, I never got back to it.

@@J.Dot187 They knocked it out of the park! I loved DTA but I adore Missions! Just a heads-up, some missions are easier depending on which hero you choose. If a lot of enemies have “ranged” attacks, choose a “ranged” hero. If you play double-handed, it’s fine to mix it up.

@ awesome, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Is it difficult to get the maps to lay completely flat, even after a little bending? It’s hard to tell in the video. Also, if you noticed that they don’t tend to lay completely flat, did that ever take away from your experience? I loved the intro by the way!

@@J.Dot187 I was able to lay them down flat. Our dining table has a plastic protector that really helped lay them flat. You can notice if you look closely at some of the pictures included in the video. I also physically attempted to flatten the maps by the creases and it worked well especially after I kept playing for a while. Don’t bend it backwards but gently put some pressure against the creases to form it flat and it will start to lay flat.

Looking forward to this arriving on my doorstep next week! I do wish the mission maps were printed on actual boards and hope that they release some kind of upgrade someday to that end.

@@refreshdaemon That was honestly my worry as well but I think that the paper used for the maps is sturdy enough. If you’re not rough with it, it’s going to last a long time. Although, if they ever do offer an upgrade in the future, I would like that, as well. When you receive your copy, you’re going to LOVE it!

Imagine 20 of these Missions stacked on top of each other with the same thickness as hero boards. The box would be HUGE! We really wanted to avoid this large of a box. Also, pro tip: counter fold the Mission board and it will lay perfectly flat on your table.

What's the difference between Adventures and Missions?

@@benja6902 Adventures has a tile-based map that is created before the start of the dungeon. Enemies are handled using cards. There is also a loot mechanic that adds cards to your deck. There are 4 bosses in total. Marvel Missions has 20 different scenarios with 20 different bosses that accompany each scenario. The setup and teardown is much quicker and having the enemy abilities right on the board helps a lot. The crisis clock adds even more depth to what the enemies can do. It’s easier to activate both enemies and bosses making for a more focused and tight gameplay experience. There is a perk system instead of a loot system here giving you some options on which abilities you’d like to unlock. Don’t get me wrong, Adventures is great but there are a lot of quality of life improvements that have helped make the missions and combat much better and more enjoyable in Marvel Missions. That and there are 20 bosses to face in Marvel Missions. There’s just more game here. It’s improved in every way imaginable. It basically made a great game even greater.

Is this expansion like DTA? I mean you can carry the loot from one mission to another? Or every scenario is unique and you start from scratch every single of it?

@@ionutcaiuteanu5346 It is an expansion like DTA but instead of carrying loot from one mission to the other, you unlock perks that unlock a bunch of different abilities and upgrades for future runs/missions. That’s how you unlock the Mythic cards, as well. You start every mission with all of the abilities you unlocked from playing the previous missions.

I think I would have bought into some of the Dice Throne games had the Marvel characters they picked been ones I was really into. The X-Men characters seemed better than the original.

@@Sammo212 I’m glad they added X-Men characters. I would’ve liked to be able to play as Beast or Nightcrawler (although they show up as support characters here) but maybe they’ll be added in the future.

What's better - Marvel Champions or this?

@@benja6902 Oof. This is a tough question to answer because both are great games. They are both inducted into “The Knights of the Round Table” which is my equivalent to a seal of approval. These are games that offer plenty of enjoyment. I believe that Marvel Champions is a deeper card-based game with some great deck construction that adds a lot of variety to every game. Marvel Missions is more of an action adventure dice combat game. It’s difficult for me to answer your question because I own them both and love them both. I wouldn’t want to not have one or the other. It’s one of those situations where if you can have them both, that’s the way to go. Having to choose just one is just too difficult for me.

What’s funny about your comment was that years ago, I was making a family video making fun of someone in our family that fell down a flight of stairs and was caught on the ring camera. I had that song in mind but couldn’t remember where I had heard it. It was in my head but that was all I knew. Then, my son came home from school saying that he was reading Romeo and Juliet and the teacher showed him the movie. I instantly remembered and finally found it. There you go. Now you know, too! 😂

Hows this one compared to X-men mutant insurrection?

@@TheRamboCommando This is WAY BETTER than Mutant Insurrection in every possible way imaginable. I made a video on Mutant Insurrection a long time ago on this channel. It was a very anticipated game of mine back then. Although I liked it, I wasn’t a huge fan of it. Even though you’re rolling dice in both of these games, the overall mechanics that surrounds Dice Throne is just much more enjoyable. Hope this helps!

@ You just need a character box or hero box. They’re the small boxes that have either 2 or 4 characters/heroes inside. Choose a character or hero that you like most and you’ll be set.

@@skuo118 Lol! At one point, Wolverine had taken a beating. I thought that I was going to lose the mission. Then, I was able to use his healing factor and before I knew it, Wolverine was in tip-top shape!

My god after unmatched here is another one turning a duel game into a coop… And this one looks better than the implementation of unmatched. Would you recommend unmatched more or dice throne…? The only thing I don’t like about dice throne are the IPs. Unmatched has more interesting characters that are more appealing to me

@@kennychan6645 Personally, having played both, I prefer Dice Throne over Unmatched. However, I did back the Unmatched Adventures Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that looks great! With that written, there’s much more game in Marvel Dice Throne Missions than there is in Unmatched Tales to Amaze. Just having two different monsters to fight against in Unmatched is just not enough but the game is still fun. DT is still more fun and the better game, in my opinion.

Yeah ninja turtles is something we cannot sleep on! Hence why my comment generally unmatched has better picks on IP so I generally lean towards unmatched! I got tales of amazed after your review and after seeing this one I probably will go and hunt down DT too May I still ask if playing solo, should I get DT adventure or DT mission or both?

@ I would say DT Missions is the way to go because there are so many bosses to fight against where in Adventures, there’s only 4. Both are great but Missions has more game content in it. I’d choose Missions all the way.
