The plot of Guardians of the Galaxy takes place several years after a massive interstellar war that left its mark on the entire galaxy, which is still dealing with its devastating consequences. Among those interested in exploiting the situation are the Guardians of the Galaxy, led by Peter Quill / Star-Lord and comprising Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer, who all hope to make quick money during their adventurous wanderings around the galaxy. However, in one of their scams, embroiled in a gamble between two team members, Star-Lord and his team inadvertently cause a small accident, which quickly sets in motion a series of catastrophic events that threaten the peace of the fragile universe unless they take responsibility for their actions and eradicate the threat.

I love this version of Drax... he has depth and emotion... as well as his comedic relief side like in the MCU Drax. This mission was probably one of my favorites and made Drax prob my favorite Guardian in the game.

This is the Drax we needed in the MCU. Not a comic relief character, but a man who is driven by loss and regret and teaches us how to live with it. "I will cherish the time we had together. And not resent the time we lost. I will love and honor you both. Always." That line alone made me break down.

They made Drax into a really special character in this game. He's not a fool like in the MCU. He can think and be quite smart in some situations, even human. All of the Guardians cast in this game are extraordinary, but Drax really surprised me after what I witnessed in the MCU. This is a really good game.

Let this be a lesson to us all: To love is to eventually lose; and to let that loss drive us is to lead us, and others, to ruin. It is a truly devastating thing to lose those you love, but people tend to forget how temporary we actually are. We make them our whole world; and shut out everything else, thinking we have nothing without them. The truth is, one person, or family, can't make your world. to do otherwise means you have that much more to lose. If there was a real chance to undo the damage, like Endgame or something, then maybe; but what truly matters is how we live and honor those we lost. Which means all you have to do is ask what they would want you to do if they could see you now. Drax did the right thing here, beyond just denying the illusion, he chose to cherish the time they had and not resent the time they lost. He left his vengeance and anger knowing it was a pointless effort to cover his own pain that he unleashed on the galaxy. As the Destroyer, his family may have been appalled at what he had done. As a Guardian, he truly lives and honors his family doing something right for others. Someone they'd be proud of. Do not let the person they loved die with them, let that good, caring soul live on as someone they could be proud of. That way they are never truly gone. We only truly die when we are forgotten; and if we remember them like they are still here, then we should have more of a reason to do what's right for all. When I hear someone say "move on" from a loss, it feels like they're saying forget the past and focus on only the future. Personally, I think that's just denying the pain of it happening. The past will always have sway on the future, it's the integral part of every story. You should not dwell on the past, but not be afraid to reflect on it. It does matter and it will always find a way to resurface and affect your future; as it has with Drax here after all this time and everything he's gained since. Make it the scar you aren't afraid to bear, and realize that it will always define you. What matters is what you do today; and if you stop trying and just be in the moment, maybe someday that thing you wanted will come to you when it truly is meant to. Sometimes the good things come to those who don't seek them.

9/10 and that’s being cruel. I’d say 10/10 but I had a lot of audio bugs that either blew out my eardrums or skipped audio.

9/10 it's on gamepass so I tired it and besides some audio bugs and tiny little bugs the story line is fire! And playing throughout the story and seeing them bicker and work together it reminded me of a movie turned into a game. They did a job failed, they bicker, broke up, then by faith reunite. They find something bigger than themselves then they have their little arcs and they save the galaxy. I loved it!

The game is good and the writing is easily the best part. The dialogue is great, the characterization is better than the films, the arcs are satisfying, and the plot is surprising and interesting throughout.

This version of drax has more depth but the drax from the mcu is funnier.
