In the game, that scene isn't just a moment of friendship. The game takes place early in the story of the Guardians, it's just been a year and they haven't really gelled as much yet, there are trust issues. The game has a very well written script, and this moment comes after all characters complete their emotional arcs and finally accept each other. It takes long to get there. If this crash happened at the beginning of the game, everybody would be yelling at Starlord with derisive remarks. This is where they have finally become a family after a long and arduous struggle with a lot of things, and it is even more beautiful and warm in the context of the game and story. The game is not perfect, but this, the story and the acting, they nailed it.

This is the moment in the game where the team finally meshes with each other and becomes very close. Early on in the game they argue with each other and Rocket is very upset with Quill for a previous mission and very temporarily leaves the team. But everybody has gone through some scut together by this point, and this is a very touching moment where they all get along and no longer doubt is distrust each other. It's beautiful really.
