I worked as a DJ at a club in SF between 90-93. One time I had Robert & Sizemore in my booth. RDJ was 25, all wired up and wanting to play the Doors during an industrial set. He definitely had a reputation back then and most of the employees of the club were like “oh shit, here comes Robert”. So weird to see him treated like a national treasure now. A well earned amazing comeback story, but some of us “knew him when…”

My theory is based on this. in Fantastic Four comics they often sent baddies to the "Negative Zone". They could be in there preventing Doom from escaping, but events in the Multiverse gave them an `out`, and Doom got free too.

You know what would be poetic? Him being cast as Victor Von Doom. RDJ was originally in talks to portray Doom in the early 2000s before becoming Iron Man. Tom Cruise was originally in talks for Iron Man. Plus, when he’s not acting as himself, he does a good job playing a villain. Like in the movie Collateral or Interview with the Vampire.

After Channing Tatums Gambit, and Wolverine coming back, I literally feel like anything that can happen, will happen. Also, I want the doom character to be my favorite character in the mcu, talking Loki on steroids from infinity stone dust. And RDJ could deliver a good performance, but so could Cillian Murphy and Julian McMahon, which I think they actually will do in the secret wars movie. 🍿
