The return of Marvel Legends Doom is actually a repaint of the Ronan the Accuser BAF Doom too, so it’s even older than that. I had to look it up, but that’s from 2007. Actually holds up pretty well considering how old it is.

I agree the change in the Dr. Doom armor color is disappointing. Gotta wonder why they thought it should have changed. The original silver color was already perfect. Taskmaster is great and the Iron-Patriot is a nice upgrade in size. Love the stop motion!

I never cared for Norman Osborn aka Iron Patriot but I do like Taskmaster with that new head sculpt along with more accessories and that Doctor Doom figure with a cloth cape despite not having bendy wire or power effects, Very great review.

I still think the Mercenaries of Mayhem Taskmaster had the best head sculpt so far. The metallic skull with black accents, glowing blue eyes and the white hood look so intimidating. This newer Cabal head sculpt definitely looks better than the last iteration...that ones face was too flat, the eyes were kinda derpy looking, and the teeth stood out a bit too much.

I think that's Lenil Francis Yu on the box, and I think I commented that last time too lol. He was doing all the art work for the main series of Secret Invasion, New avengers, and Dark Reign. That art is from the Cabal one short before the Dark Reign event began.

Actually, it's the cover for Siege: The Cabal #1 by David Finch. This issue went on sale December 3rd, 2009. Siege #1 ("The Siege of Asgard - Phase One") followed on January 6th, 2010.

This is my problem with Legends/Hasbro and this type of offering in general. I have no interest in Iron Patriot, and thanks to MEZCO I'll never need another classic Doom. The only one I want is Taskmaster which means I would be paying a near import level price for him. No thanks. I can't justify that anymore. I'm happy that my fellow collectors are excited for this one, though.

I’m with you on this, I don’t need an Iron Patriot, I’m content with my Doom, and while I like this Taskmaster it’s not enough to justify the purchase for me when the old one isn’t exactly front and center on one of my shelves. It’s annoying having to pick and choose what I upgrade like this, and I would upgrade more often if everything was sold individually, but this one isn’t worth it for me

The Cabal DOOM head takes the modern hood from the Super Skrull wave and the classic helmet from the alternative head also from the Super Skrull wave. I still think the Super Skrull wave is the definitive Legends DOOM. I wish Taskmaster also had a cloth cape

12:05 New Taskmaster came with an inferior smaller version of the Needle Gun. Old Tasky's gold gun is a slightly larger version that originally released with Madame Hydra/Masque. This is why it's not as loose in the holster. But they should have included the updated version from the S.H.I.E.L.D. 3-Pack. That one has a port for a blast effect.

Taskmaster...have the previous one but love this. Doom...have a good one, but this one is nice. Iron Patriot...normally a sucker for anything Iron Man-ish, but I admit I hate (HATE!) the super-shiny plastic that, to me, makes it look like a Happy Meal toy. REALLY wish this hadn't been a 3-pack.

I like the Doom because of the Doombot head, Taskmaster is barely an upgrade IMO and they really need to up their game on the Iron-Men articulation. Barely and at the torso and nothing at the waist is pathetic.

You just nailed why I've stuck with the Epic Heroes Doctor Doom all these years: the removable mask. Everything else about it holds up fine, so I see no reason to upgrade with the newer MLs, though I'd be lying if I said the Mezco Doctor Doom wasn't tempting.
