Yeah, I really enjoy the paint type stuff so if it needs to be done I'm usually okay with it. Shouldn't have to, but doesn't bug me as much as like sculpt or proportions.

It doesn't bother me at all that the figure is so much bigger than he's portrayed in the movie; I kinda prefer it only because he's such a larger than life character in the comics.

I think the fact that he is a little oversized indicates that his arms were sculpted with a possible comic version reuse in the future. Outback Colossus, perhaps? He would need different hands but the old ones might fit.

I am really loving seeing these steps forward in engineering for these figures. I know there are limitations elsewhere most if not all of the time but that shoulder is a BIG step towards a superior product. Hope to see wired soft goods someday

Good observation there Robo. Didn't occur to me that this might've been an older sculpt but the way you put it, it does start to make sense. I can't get over the proportions and engineering so here's hoping an alternative pops up.

Perfect timing. Mine came in the mail today, then I saw a notification for this video. I watched this after posing Colossus for a bit. Didn’t realize how oversized he was. But it’s still a fun figure for the Deadpool movie lineup.

I've never liked any comic Colossus figure and I've always liked the design in the movie! It's a perfect mix of comics and live action and although it's not 100% perfect... I think this will be my first Colossus figure!!! :)

I do think the proportions are there. You'd just need to shorten the arms at the wrist and the legs at the boots.

Theres something ironic that despite this being very off model, it's also one of Hasbro's best sculpts. Solid proportions, shoulders aren't wildly low, muscles look organic and natural, broad chest with narrow waist. I wouldn't hate that shoulder articulation being used more.

His hair/face seems a lot more angled on the figure than the movie so maybe that’s why it seems more comic-y. His widows peak and sharp angles on his hair in particular but also his browline

Honestly, I don't even mind that he's a bit too tall. I sort of even prefer it. But, it does make me wonder, if they do a Deadpool Colossus anytime, if it might be a 2-pack with prison Juggernaut or something, or maybe use it to give us Yukio? Though, that'd be someone you'd be more likely to expect with a Negasonic version, so, hmm.

I guess I'm not seeing it. Sure, there's the socket edge and it's raised because that's just physics, but it's not near the ledge meat sleeve look as the comic Colossus.

I decided to use this figure as my Astonishing Era colossus. I know technically the classic costume would work the best as a stand in but I feel like since every other x-man in the Astonishing run got a significant costume upgrade, why can’t the same be said for pioter? This is a better figure than the classic colossus anyway

The figure in general is not too tall. The actor who did motion capture for colossus said that Tim Miller specifically wanted to make him over 7 feet tall, even though the actor himself is only 6’4” on top of the fact that there’s a scene where colossus is being groped by wade and wade’s head comes to around where Colossus chest would be. Just like the marvel legends.

I won't spoil it here, but Ryan Reynolds has revealed what would have happened to his Colossus...if Hugh Jackman didn't sign on to play Wolverine. (Added) The original scene with Colossus is what inspired Ryan Reynolds to use "Like A Prayer".

He’s actually not too tall robo, if you look at the scene in DP 2 when Wade is groping Colossus’ ass, Wade’s head actually comes up to his chest. Plus, the scene you pulled for reference when they’re walking not only has Colossus taking a wider stride than Wade, but he’s also slightly hunched over, making him look slightly shorter to us head on. The ML is huge but it’s accurate

Naw, I see what you're saying about the ass groping scene but most other scenes he's shown smaller. They do the whole line up walking thing at the end of 2 and it's about the same as the first movie.

​@@RoboDontKnow going back and looking at certain scenes it does look like he fluctuates in height slightly. However the actor who did mocap for colossus, Stefan Kapicic, said that "I'm 6-foot-4, but [Tim Miller] wanted Colossus to be over 7 feet, so they used a stunt double to recreate his height, and he did very good job there." Colossus' stunt double was Andre Tricoteux, who is 6'9". BTS for DP 1 shows him wearing platforms on top of that that look to be at least 4-5" tall. so at a minimum, Colossus should be at least 7'1-2". but there are certain scenes in the movies that have him shift between that and around 7'4"-7'5". So yeah he is slightly oversized for how he is most of the time in the movies, but not as much as people would think

Like I said, the legs are too big and long to be accurate to the movie, it throws off the proportions. If those were just a bit shorter and thinner it would bring down the height and make the chest seem bigger and more like we saw on screen.

Deadpool Colossus looks literally ripped out of the comics. I wish it had been on a functional double ball joint torso with an articulate neck. Maybe one day. I'm debating painting the torso yellow. The segments make adding yellow perfect.

Have to disagree, making it bigger would make the whole figure larger and it doesn't need that at all. I think the legs are too big. Shrinking those would bring everything into proportion and scale better with the rest of the figures.

I prefer the look and the size of this figure to a more movie accurate version. The movie looks like they got a tall guy to record the movements in mocap, then stretched his torso vertically about 6-9 inches without touching anything else in the data. Looks like crap.
