Well, given how this is a huge argument even within universe, and while real life biology would not agree with this, within the universe, the standard position seems to be that they are not the same species (hence they are considered homo sapiens superior, instead of homo sapiens sapiens). Of course, people within the marvel universe are also extremely racist (more so than in real life even), but at least this classification isn't, y'know, unsupported by the text

One thing to note with Captain America is that he’s also an infinite mana outlet/wincon with an equipment on board since you can infinite attach and unattach the equipment. I don’t think it’s GOOD but I’ve been messing around with a list that at least is cool and fun for a fringe deck Mainly using Zirda and Power Artifact with monoliths to create infinite mana. One kinda cute thing the deck can do is Metalworker + Umbral Mantle for infinite mana and the equipment is included in the combo as it is. Also if you end up with Zirda + a free equipper you can do some decent board control making Captain America’s activation cost 1 to distribute 3 damage and is repeatable Then you get the random synergistic things like Sunforger to tutor out interaction pieces or Final Fortune to snipe wins and free equip it back to Captain America, Reaver Cleaver for big bursts of mana to fuel breach turns, and conqueror’s flail becomes a combo piece if you need it to be Again, don’t think it’s great… but it’s at least interesting and has been a fun brew!

i think ironman is underrated... there is alot of mana motivation through cheap artifacts that sacrifice into a snowball to big stuff.

The best way probably to play storm is to go off in response to her trigger, then you let it resolve and cast whatever it is you want to play. If you decide on extra combat or turns, it will not require allot of storm, so you don't really need a infinite or a breach line to win.

I believe there can exist an iron man list that is packed densely enough with artifact combos, and artifacts in general, wherein by naturally playing out the first three turns results in half of one game ending artifact based combo being present on the board & a few other incedental artifacts. Meaning that by casting and then swinging that turn with iron man, you can use one of the other seperate artifacts to pod into the other half of any given combo. I was particularly excited for this commander when it got leaked, before the bans, but now with 3 less cards that enable a t3 iron man, it really does just feel too slow(or at least not consistently speedy enough) I also believe, that given Storms required set up, the builds that focus on requiring the minimal amount of set up will succeed(trying to win with low storm count vs requiring storm count 5 or greater. Like with how Rowan preforms more consistently by losing ~4 life a turn as opposed to going for a -25 life turn play). 2 instances of eldritch evolution on the stack has a clean line, 3 instances of neoform has a clean line, stuff like that. I also really like how Storm interacts with ponder, shuffling(and drawing 1) until you find a top 3 you like(& if the remaining copies of ponder left are 2 or more, you do get to draw all three). Manamorphose is an insane miniature version of a stormed up jeska's will.

Extra turn spells with infinite storm would be quite difficult to interact with. Even more so if it's a Nexus of Fate with since it doesn't target. Luckily Temur has a few good infinite mana/storm combos that don't require any instants or sorceries. EWit+Kitten+Petal or Hullbeaker Horror loops. Also... she has access to Bring to Light.

@@cedhtv unfortunately, Bring to Light only grabs Creatures, Instants and Sorceries. But a storm 3 Bring to Light (paying all 5 colors) can grab something like a Rionya+Combat Celebrant+extra combat/turn spell. So it can still be a finisher.

I was messing around with a deck idea using storm and time stretch... Thanks to the mana ramp from green (allowing me to tap one mana for three, tap creatures for mana, untap land with creatures) I can get ten extra turns and seemingly infinitely add more with return cards from your graveyard to your hand cards

Panther can go infinite if you turn 2 lands to creatures and move counters from them. In green it is easy, and I think is easier than inf creatures etb

@@SlimiestSlime If you have a creature like Ashaya, Soul of the Wild in play, all of your creatures now also count as forests. You play a creature, and put the counters on a different creature (since it is also a land). Then you spend the mana, move the counters to a different creature that is a land, and repeat until you have drawn into your win con. It requires infinite mana, but with Ashaya there's a number of ways to pull that off already.

Storm: There are a lot of cantriping Red instants that give haste, but then you need even more mana when you cast her Black Panther: Scurry Oak, Ashaya = Infinite squirrels, but those are both lots of mana.

i think black panther will give you infinite draw if you have at least 2 land/creatures and infinate mana. if you have Dryad Arbour and Mutavault, you can move the +1/+1 from your "land" Dryad to your "creature" mutavault and vice versa. this should make you draw all cards in your library so you just need to win with a combo from that point. There might be a critical mass of enough creature lands. the good ones (enters untapped, mana cost doesn't matter because we assume you have infinite mana to do this combo) - Dryad Arbour - Mutavault - Inkmoth Nexus (flying and infect) - Mishra’s Factory - Mobilized District - Crawling Barrens - Nantuko Monastery - Mishra’s Foundry - Dread Statuary in regards to infinite mana, i assume you can just run the standard Temur Sabertooth + Wirewood Symbiote combo. which means you should run the good elf package but also Yisan, the Wanderer Bard. So why run this instead of Thrasios, well the only thing white has over blue is more stax pieces, so i guess you have to run stacks and use green and white tutor cards to find your stacks and creature pieces.

I'm a big fan of the Black Panther universe and am currently brewing a cEDH version of the deck. Is it the strongest deck ever? Probably not, but I would argue that it is the strongest Selesnya Commander ever. Many people overlook the fact that Black Panther is not only an infinite draw outlet similar to Thrasios, but eventually a finisher a la Finale of Devastation.

Black panther is a good food chain outlet to draw your whole deck or make an infinitely large board. He also combos with ashaya and a ley weaver, but so does the kitchen sink 🤷

For black panther, dryad arbor + 1 other creature land means you can actiate the card draw infinitely if you have infinite mana. Awaken the woods can get you several. Also really good synergy with ocelot pride and a great deck for inkmoth and blinkmoth nexus being creatures for only one mana. I don't know much about cedh but these interactions seem strong.

Black panther seems good for tayam, will certainly be testing it. I think Storm is worse than what everyone thinks. I takes 3 phases to make it good. main phase 1 - cast small stuff to build up your storm combat - deal damage main phase 2 - get benefit Just feels like to many hoops to jump through for a "thousand-year storm" like card.

Colossal Hammer (1 colorless) + Captain America = Mediocre combo times, mainly creature killing. Swing 14, unattach for 3 to deal 10. 5 swings for 120 damage sucks really bad, but it could be high power, maybe.

Black Panther looks terrible to me. Bad colors, high requirements. I don't think he'll even do much in casual. I can appreciate the bit of flavor from his abilities, but they don't reflect his personal capabilities as a character. 🫤 Also, the irony of Wolverine being called "Best There Is" despite having very middling stats & abilities. They really dropped the ball on these two. Storm & Cap (for casual) are the only decent two.

Making competitive assessments using casual archetypes for each commander seems a bit harsh. The way to build Iron Man is extra combats artificer. Once you get out Amulet of Vigor, it gets a LOT more explosive, and a Seize the Day might be enough to set up a combo in a lot of instances. Similarly, with Captain America, you don't need to run a bunch of average equipment, you just get infinite mana, and spam throwing and attaching the same equipment over and over until gg. Hell, you could maybe ONLY just Lightning Greaves in the deck, and it could still be really good. Almost like a Jeskai version of Oona

I built a Storm deck on my channel. I went more of a creature combo for her and feel pretty good about it because if you get "stopped" you'll be able to just do it again next turn and then you have little instants like Gutshot or Lava Dart with an infinite storm to win. Eldritch Evolution is also amazing because once you add storm to that you can just get your creature combo like having multiple birthing pods.
