Marvel PANICS After Year of M-She-U FAILURES | Ms. Marvel DISASTER Undergoes EXTENSIVE Reshoots

Ms. Marvel is in trouble. After being delayed twice now it is going back for extensive reshoots. Right after Doctor Strange finished it's 6 weeks of reshoots. Now we here Moon Knight, the only show I'm looking forward too, is set for reshoots as well. After the success of Spider-Man: No Wary Home and the stagnate year of Marvel Disney Plus 'content' leading to stock troubles. Now we hear Disney's Bob Chapek wants to focus on the audience? Say WHAT? It's clear something is going on. What isn't clear is if the inevitable changes will just be cameos or an effort to make content that isn't filled with identity politics and M-She-U.
Have we come full circle? Ms. Marvel was and is the poster child for the SJW Marvel era. An era that was the origins of the M-She-U. An era that didn't end well. Only time will tell.

That's what I've been wondering too. Barely anyone on Earth should know Captain Marvel exists. Maybe she did more on Earth in that 5 year time gap, but it'll be hard to make that compelling enough for the connection to make sense. And either way it'll just be retroactive changes for Captain Marvel's story in the MCU. Speaking of which, not that I'm that familiar with the character, but you'd think a young, impressionable kid coming from a minority race and religious background idolizing and modelling herself after a blond haired, blue eyed white woman would be problematic, but I guess we'll see how mainstream audiences react to that. They gender swapped Captain Mar-Vell to make him a woman in Captain Marvel (which I'm sure was quite intentional), so it's not like they're against changing things if it fits the message they want to send.

It's also less empowering to make a character perfect as they are from day one than making them grow or fail and learn from their failures. Like, what's more empowering to the average person? A character that's perfect and you could never even come close to be like or seeing a character fail and face hardships but showing you that with effort, willpower and resourcefulness obstacles can be overcome? One of those two things is inspiring and empowering, the other just dumb and lazy writing.

The only way the M-She-U (and Star Wars) gets fixed, is if Bob Paycheck understands two things: 1. There is a problem with the people currently in charge because they are not putting the profitability of their respective divisions (MCU and Star Wars) first. 2. Well, if Doomcock's latest rumors hold water (and I hope they do), it's not just Bob trying to right the ship, but the new chairman of the board Susan Arnold and she's not playing around. Apparently in her first meeting, she said Disney is going to be a for profit company again and attacking customers for not being the right kind of people is not going to be tolerated. She even pulled up tweets as examples of how not to treat customers and called them the peak of stupidity. Basically, if they want push projects fans don't want, attack fans for not liking the products, or push politics they're not welcome in the company and she's ready to show them the door. Her and Bob are on the same page, but he's alot nicer in comparison. The only thing is, righting the ship will take time and it seems Hollywood hates them and are counting the days until Chapeak's contract runs out. I have to wonder if anyone will be left on the High Republic by the time Arnold is thru.

Friend of mine works in a store that sells school stuff, books and toys, he told me that they got a pallet of various Marvel, DC and Star Wars toys around the end of the lockdowns, when they could open the physical store again, last month he told me that they have barely sold ANYTHING (even after they put it on 50% sale) of the stuff based on things made within the last couple of years (WITH some exceptions, such as The Mandalorian stuff) and when they finally do it's NOT "tHe MeSsAgE" based chracters, fx. he thinks they've sold a total of 5 Rey, Reva, Rose Tico and Holdo figures since they opened again, he can't say how much they've sold via webshop, but since they pack and send from the local store and they still have their stock it's safe to say it's less than nothing. It's the same with school stuff, things such as backpacks, pencils, lunchboxes and all that, they got a shipment of Star Wars school backpacks, with individual character prints from all 3 trilogies, original and prequel was sold out within a week or so, sequel is still on sale (He told me he saw 2 kids flip a coin over the last Darth Maul backpack, the loser choose a Darth Vader, and when girls choose sommething Star Wars related, they don't want the "female representation" stuff, he told me he almost started crying out of happiness when a girl wanted a Captain Rex backpack, and when he asked her why she wanted that exact backpack, her answer was "because he's a badass"). The real money is in the mercandise, and it's *NOT* selling.

Even with the loss of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, the MCU has some excellent characterizations to explore. I was excited about seeing the evolution of The Scarlet Witch, 'Old Man' Hawkeye, and (especially) Loki. What poorly written dreck was the result.

@@akutenshi6946 Loki and Hawkeye became a side character of their own story by their female version. Wandavision had a great premise but enslaving the whole town is not a superhero thing to do. She didn't get punish or ask for help with expertise in magic whom she can definitely trust like Dr. Strange or even Wong after what she did.

I'm still glad the MCU happened. Marvel films pre-Blade were an embarrassment so Iron Man truly was the start of something special for the fans. And when Disney bought Marvel I thought they'd corrupt the MCU immediately (just like Star Wars) instead of letting it wrap up nicely with Endgame. Marvel is unlikely to produce anything of such high caliber ever again so I'll be thankful that for what we did get and just move on to other forms of entertainment.

Dear god, I feel bad for both Moon Knight and Doctor Strange. They deserve better. Edit: Seeing the Moon Knight trailer, got to say it looks like it has potential. Definitely optimistic about it.

SPOILER WARNING MAYBE: Well to ease your mind a little how was anyone gonna stop wanda she is to powerful for almost anyone except strange unless your talking about comics then it gets blurry but if its the story line i think they are trying to follow then strange will have to step up which he most likley will. Also if im right that also means wanda wasnt in her right head which also means that she might be fighting within her mind between 2 ppl one thats her and one thats evil.

Captain Marvel made a billion dollars just in time right before Endgame… was it THAT GOOD? Not, really…? It was ok? I always resented how people tried to credit it the glory that Wonder Women deserved less than 2 years prior. But. Money is money.
