I think it would be cool to do an era of X-men where there are 1 or 2 title books that are the team books and then all the other ongoing runs consist of like 7 or 8 solo series about mutants that have been around for a while but deserve more time to shine. An X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Beast, Magneto, Kitty Pryde, Gambit, Colossus, and some newer characters like Glob Herman and/or Armor would be cool imo

Do we really want them to repeat Civil War 2, but make it X-Men focused (Which is also really close to the Krakoa era with Moira and Destiny, tbh) or maybe hope for completely different time-shenanigans? It would be interesting to discover something, by the end that Trask isn't necessarily a normal mutant, but he sent some Sentinel back in time to change his DNA into a mutant with a specific power so that he would take actions that would lead him to his human supremacy role. But something has interfered with that plan and future-Trask now knows when he really is looking for peace, so future Trask goes back in time to just force the rest of the events himself, even if he confronts himself. So now you have the Sentinel team fighting to understand their humanity, while current Trask feels like he is fighting to keep his as he is confronted with a person who tells him he is his inevitability regardless what he does now. That this future Trask is still hiding something from him in order to still manipulate his older self into turning into himself.

This reminds me of Cyberforce back in the early days of Image comics: Cybernetically enhanced mutants: Stryker, Velocity, Killjoy,Ballistic,etc…look them up. That was an interesting concept back then and it looks like it’s coming back around.

It could be good -- anything can be good, can be done well -- but it kinda feels like another "we're officially out of ideas" kind of deal. As usual I'll refrain from actual judgment til the book rolls out. Some of that art shown has shades of Leifeld and BWS, which is great. Anybody remember that series about that kid with his pet Sentinel he rescued (around the time of New X-Men or Agent X, that stuff)? Tropey even then, but makes sense and really works in the MU. Anyways. Thank you, Ernie, i always really like your reviews.

Off Topic but can you make a video about How Marvel Ruined Iceman? ill tell you why but its a long one so bucke up. so one of the things that made Iceman well Iceman was that he was a ladies man and im not homophobic when i say this but Marvel turning Iceman gay really did ruin his character. he's the comic relief and the The Human Torch of the team. Quick tempered, a straight horny ladies man that'll do anything to save his friends without thinking about himself. Iceman had no hints of being gay prior to 2015, most people like to bring up the fact that in 1963 in the very first issue of the X-Men when Professor-X is telling them that a girl/Jean grey is joining the school/team he said ''a girl big deal'' and use that as ''proof that iceman was always gay'' when that quickly gets disproves when a fan asked stan lee if Iceman was always gay he responded with ''well i certainly didnt write him gay in 1963'' which doesnt mean that Iceman was gay it just means that he wasnt interested in her and the only people who defend the decision that Marvel or more specifically Brian Michael Bendis made are you guessed it apart of the lgbtq group. Another thing that people bring up is that he dated Cloud (if you dont know she can turn into a guy and a female) when that was the whole reason he broke up with her bc he wasnt comfortable dating her. Also in all the adaptations that Iceman has appeared in even though he doesnt have a big/massive role in any of them they all portray him the same him being a straight horny ladies man. also dont give me that bs excuse that '' some people come out later in life'' which yeah is true but Imagine if Marvel decided to make Spider-Man or Cyclops come out as gay...............................see what i mean? like if you want gay characters just make new ones dont turn characters who for years especially one that has been straight for 50 YEARS and that one of his core traits is that he's a ladies man gay, and if you wanted more lgbtq representation then why not use Kitty Pryde who is Bi or Psylocke who is also Bi or FRICKIN Northstar who is literally gay and married, if you want even MORE proof that proves Iceman was straight then read Uncanny X-Force 2010-2012 #24 where the comic LITERALLY opens up with Iceman sleeping with a dozen Prostitutes while in Madripoor. my only hope is that he is included on the Mcu X-Men roster but if they're gonna make him gay then i dont want him on the team. (or make him Bi but even then i would much rather if they kept him as straight)

We got one in the 2000’s. It was two mini series that were basically “The Iron Giant” with a kinder, modified program Sentinel. … Then after he enlisted in the first version of The Avengers Academy (as later-in-the-series entrant to the Academy, after Hank Pym and Tigra make it an official hero training school), the boy and his robot both die horrible deaths in Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum’s Avenger’s Arena limited series.😩

Marvel can't keep going both ways with X-Men. They basically said "yeah, we're resetting the X-Men back to being hated and feared instead of moving them forward. That was always going to happen.
