C'mon Joe this game is not 1:1 same as OW. ie: - Destructible environments - 3rd person - 6v6 non role queue - Unique teamup abilities between the heroes. - Already existing characters with lore and abilities that match the comics. So you can't even say they copied OW there. - Ultimates carry over round after round.

The fact many (including myself) saw some gameplay by accident and thought it was a Marvel event on Overwatch says otherwise. Saying that, though, it does have promise because OW2 is absoulte slop of a game and having another hero shooter for OW2 to compete against is always good for consumers.

@@erikdayne5429 its definitely similar to OW, but also different too. Not just OW rip off. Joe was saying the UI was the same as OW which is completely not true. I still play OW and the UI is very different. They're in the same genre and OW does a lot of things well so they're gonna share similar features. Somewhere in the video they were playing Convoy [payload] and they didn't know why the game was on overtime. Alex said they just copied the mode from OW and forgot to change that part . . . Both teams were on the payload. It's basic game design that the game SHOULD NOT end there. But to them it was just copying from OW/team fortress. Ruins their credibility for me.

I never saw the OW parallels prior until I watched this entire vid, but the DvA voice messed with my head the most. I hope in the future they add more stages and modes to make it unique. Since they're so bold with inspiration it'd be cool if they took ideas from Battleborn, by now it'd stand out since most forgot it. Incursion with Marvel factions as minions for each map (Shield vs AIM, Skrulls vs Kree) would be fun and even if its unlikely they can do simplified take on upgrading abilities in match.

To be generous to it, it really doesn't look too bad. But the novelty will wear off very quickly if the developers cannot keep the game properly balanced and updated with new maps and characters. Spider-Man plays more like a "dive" character so maybe the team just wasn't synchronizing very well with that pick, but he still seemed kind of underwhelming for a character whose primary damage is accomplished through melee range.

I liked OW and OW2 for a while, but this looks more of the same and im already burned out on OW1/2. If free to play, i might give it a shot. Otherwise it is a skip for me.

I think being able to do tram up attacks and all the hero abilities are enough to differentiate it from Overwatch. Unless you mean objectives other than "protect the point and carry the payload" but i mean, whats the most popular game mode in COD? TDM. Looks pretty solid for a title in early Beta even though it is an Overwatch clone. Def could use some balance updates. It feels like Iron man is way too squishy compared to other heroes. 250 hp vs Spiderman's 300 hp doesn't make much sense, when Iron Man should be able to tank a lot more damage since he is in a flying around in an armored suit

why do people compare it to OW? it's third person and has no guns, it's more like Smite than OW. Also it's a NetEase game so expect a MTX riddled slot machine targeting underage kids as for the game itself, this beta is a mess from jankiness to slow movement despite being heroes to mobile game level quality to heroes feeling like not-heroes and so on. Even the visuals are not that great, looks like a mobile game being ported to PC. Joe saying it's "better than OW in every way" is just crazy, cause the one thing even Blizzard haters agree on is that Blizzard make their games feel good to play... this game all the abilities lack any real weight or impact, movement is slow, it doesn't feel anywhere near the polish of OW and so on.

Its closer to overwatch than smite. As you mentioned, the only similarity to smite is the 3rd person. Otherwise its like overwatch in that its 6v6, about escorting an objective/capturing a point, has plenty of long ranged shooting, no items or gold gain just base kits, the 3 roles of healer dps and support, etc.

I want to be excited for this game, but it looks like it suffers from a major problem that OW has, but 10 times worse. None of the attacks and abilites look like they have ANY weight to them. Which is kind of ok in OW because its all just guns and stuff. But if I punch someone with Hulk i want to FEEL that. Or drop a tornado as Storm, I want to FEEL that, not just have a piddly little damage field in place for a few seconds.
