Overwatch can’t be the biggest bag fumble in history. The game been out since 2016. Most games would kill for the run Overwatch had. The biggest mistake Overwatch made was not listening to their fans. People didn’t want 5v5 really. They constantly tried to tune 5v5 instead of just keeping the game 6v6. The ban system was also something ppl wanted and Blizzard said “nah”. That being said, the game had an almost decade run. Rivals can’t exist without Overwatch getting its flower.

It could be so much more than it is now: a revolving door for casuals with 80% of its seasonal content being increasingly unimpressive skins to throw money at, and the other actually exciting 20% just being features finally recycled from OW1. OW2 is what you get when you pair incompetent developers who dont know what they want with suits that are obsessed with fast ever-increasing gains: a disaster destined to die a slow death

I don’t really care how good Marvel Rivals is. I’m just happy to see a real competitor shunt Overwatch out of the spotlight after years of willful ignorance, idiotic moves and a slow but measurable decline in fun. They remind of a partner who was good at the beginning of the relationship but changed for the worst over time, making overtures and false promises of improvement as your love for them slowly but surely evaporates until you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing still being with them anymore. Fuck Blizzard. Glad most of us are finally moving on.

Right, I don't get argument about "depth" Sam is talking about, once you figure out melee chars, there is literally no depth there - you just press right combos on your keyboard at the right time. Game being month old is the only reason why you see skill curve and difference between "top 500" Iron Fist and the diamond one. In a year most of melee chars are gonna be received same as Mercy.

Why do you guys think they haven't played it? I have, and, whilst I think it can be fun, I still have a lot more fun playing the OW 6 vs 6 mode As a support player, I enjoy playing the likes of Juno, Kiri, Illyari, Bap, and Ana, more than Rivals supports. I also think none of the flyers (which i love to play) match the fun of playing Pharah - who has greater mobility OW is just more fluid with it's gameplay, and I think the characters personalities shine through better, too

@@NASTAR01you’re 1 sided supports have more opportunity and play making try playing dps or tank roles that just overtime make you realise why balance for all roles is important. also i have to wait 10 minutes for a support q cause everyone wants to have fun but no one wants to tank overwatch 1 6v6 was prime and i have lost faith in how slow and how they balance the game enjoy the game while you still can and pray they do something quick cause I’ve waited a long time to see some good change and after 8 years i finally lost faith

Is there any chance we gonna talk about the presumed bot teams in QP? When i first heard about it was, naaah its bs but i start to believe its true after some strange things happening in game and wanted to look in replays. The signs are there: game after a loss, you demolish them, they soft lock and track like GMs but play like bronzes, they never talk back, all 6 with autogenerated-like nicknames and all 6 with locked profiles.

I've never played Overwatch or any first-person shooter. In fact, I avoid all first-person games, no matter how good they might be-they're just not for me. As long as it's first-person, I won't enjoy it. However, I do play Marvel Rival because it's third-person, and I love being able to see my character's outfit and movements. It's a great game! I play all the muscle tanks because I enjoy being a tanker. i played hulk, thor, cap, groot and venom. i dont play strange or magneto, becuase i like beefy muscle melee characters, i enjoy seeing my character in motion that makes buying outfit 10x better for being able to see ur character while playing. i am looking forward to colossus, juggernaut, and thanos.

As much as I love Marvel Rivals this is 100% glazing bro the game isn't perfect and even multiplayer of the year isn't guaranteed with poor optimization and bugs. It is a strong contender for now but we still got months and multiple seasons to go through before we can truly say if it's a game of the year.

Yes and no. Yes ue5 is dogshit but every game is ue5 rivals is not unique in that sense yet it feels better and more enjoyable to play than most other games that suffer the same issues. The main test will be how they handle balance. I can totally see this game petering out quickly if they repeat ow track record

My main issue with rivals is visual clutter. It is insane what happens in teamfights when 4 people press q and there is 3 groot walls with 4 loki clones and namor placed 2 turrets while penni placed mines everywhere etc.

Yeah and one thing that also annoys me how it can be very difficult to figure out where you are getting shot form or if I take like 1 hp of damage thoses automatic voicelines come on and I stop because I think I'm low hp when I'm actually full. But despite all that, its still more fun that OW.

@@nintandao64 I know whats going on usually but it is just mentally exausting. I guess that in overwatch I got used to it slowly over time when they drip fed heroes over the years. But this game has it just way too much. When you havw 2 lunas on the point spamming both songs with a bunch of groot walls and tons of explosions going on from all the other heroes its just unwatchable. I guess that ow also felt like that to new players who joined later on when more heroes got added.

definitely not flawless but fun as hell. had a similar experience to u before i got to play the game i was calling it marvelwatch in discord with my friends but once i got into the beta i was just blown away at how much i was enjoying everything in the game. in the beta i played mantis the most but in the full release ive been playing a ton of magik and the sheer variety in this game combined with how fun the kits of these heroes are its pretty incredible. performance is definitely my biggest issue in this game but im more than willing to give them time to improve.

Rivals is a really fun game! I had a 6 hour session in Discord VC with my guildies from another game & it was an excellent time.. aside from the crashes, the times I had to configure my graphical settings till I was able to reach 200FPS reliably for a smooth game play experience, the random lag spikes I'd get at times during critical moments in combat, noticing the lack of polish in general.. The game is fun. But the devs NEED to fix the current issues with it as soon as possible because I am not going to commit to the game until the crashing issue is fixed.

Apart from the monetization, the biggest thing I hope that OW learns from and changes to compete with Rivals is the seasonal lore. Rivals is doing exactly what I had wanted OW to do all the way back in OW1 days: they are using their seasonal model to tell the story of the game. OW2 seasons are just random themes that do nothing to progress the story. In the almost 9 years OW has been out, the most story progression we've got has basically been "Winston calls OW back to action" to "OW reassembles". Speculating about lore and characters is what keeps people engaged with a game. OW was built on a foundation of interesting characters and strong world building and lore but has done virtually nothing that builds those things up.

I've never had the game crash (ps5) that's on you if you're on PC and have trash specs. They already announced the FPS thing is now known and is currently working on a fix. It's only going to get better from here. Remember when other games first launched to where they are now. Polish and optimization will get better as they go. As an example look at when OW1 first launched to now.

Marvel Rivals didn’t have to come out for Overwatch to die. That game has been dead for years. At the very least since OW2 was released. There were other hero shooters that came out or were announced last year but MR was the only one that hasn't flopped. Deadlock and Supervive are good but not popular enough, Concord didn't even last a week, and Fragpunk is coming out in March but there's no hype behind it so it'll probably be dead on arrival.

What I meant with my original competitor is that there is no game of high quality that directly competes with ow. Game of the year? No. Multiplayer game of the year? Fair shout. Masterpiece? Not so much...but thats okay and it doesnt need to be. Is it fun? Hella fun. Did it catch me by surprise? Yes for sure, i knew its gonna be fun but not this much and also not be as deep as it is. I do think Sam overhypes the game a bit too much in his videos, but tbh I respect the passion and these praises and reactions are what the game deserves. I personally dont know how long i am gonna be hooked, and I also dont like the destruction AT ALL...its annoying and in the way, nothing cool or strategic about it, same with the random map events where everybody can jump very high or random fire attacks players on the objective. I also think the maps thrmselves are nothing special, i have one or two that i dislike but none that I am hyped for to play...maps and destruction are in my opinion the biggest weak point in the game.

Rivals is a great game and I have put alot of time into it. But the higher I climb the less I feel I can play the game for long periods. It does not have the same longevity of play time that OG Overwatch had. That's said still miles better than OW2

this game cant be competitive with stuff like moonknight placing an ank outside of your LOS and killing you in 0.5 seconds without seeing you. In quickplay this game can be lots of fun but the moment you start taking ranked seriously its insane how much infuriating design there is. @@JasmineDubstep you cant just point out some singular ult in a vacuum like that, of course it sounds OP but then you remember supports get their ults twice per fight and they last 2x longer than psylock ult, plus psylock ult can only dmg one person at a time, if your entire team stands in the ult and especially if adam uses his shift ability no one dies, Im not trying to flame you but your lack of understanding of the depth of the game is why you struggle to see its potential, Moon knight for instance, you KNOW he is gonna throw the anhk, he literally has too if he wants to deal a half decent amount of dmg, u can literally just stare at him and wait for it or better yet when you know ur team is walking through a choke literally just walk through it backwards and shoot the anhk as soon as it lands

U need to run a dive comp against or else he will get a free revive every fight but it is slightly balanced by the fact that he has comparatively lower healing and damage than the other supports. Psylocke ult on the other hand , I still think she needs to take damage while ulting. While it can be countered using your escape ability she can still move it. Especially when the psylocke goes and ults directly on top of the supports she is most likely to get 2 kills (unless the supports counter ult ofc) which is a direct fight win due to the lack of healing on one team.The only problem I have with psylocke ult is how easy it is to get 2 to 3 kills (go invis -> go onto the enemy support -> press q). The only possible counter I can think of without ults is Loki's immo.

​@@reproxity R5 3600, 2060S, 16GB 3200 mhz ram. Even at lowest settings and FSR I can't get more than 50 fps during gameplay. It is usually between 40-50. I am also using the most stable driver so that shouldn't be an issue either.

You need the codes. Even if OW added that feature most profiles are private because that's the default setting so it wouldn't be worth the effort.
