Just finished the game today, had it for about a week. I have a couple thoughts. One of the things that bothered me was the utter lack of marvel elements in what was supposed to be the “ultimate avengers experience”. We had Taskmaster, Abomination, the lady Monica who eventually becomes Scientist Supreme, and MODOK. That’s it for villains (Loki gets a name drop, that’s it, doesn’t count). The rest are just robot fights. No Red Skull, no Winter Soldier, no Baron Zemo, Doctor Zola, Mandarin, Extremis, no Falcon, War Machine, Ant-Man, Wasp, Stature, Ghost, YellowJacket, Fantastic Four, Stryker, X-Men, X-Ecutioner, X-Force, Red Hulk, A-Bomb, Punisher, Defenders, Warriors, HAMMER, Whiplash, no Iron Legion, no Cloak and Dagger, no Goliath, Hercules, Wiccan, Deadpool, Super-Skrull, Doctor Doom, nothing. Another critique was for the cast regarding Nolan as Tony. You could tell he wanted to play Deadpool, and they let him play a muted Deadpool. Who they should’ve cast was either the Iron Man from MvC, or Adrian Pasdar (dude did great as Iron Man in the Anime). Then just let Nolan do Deadpool like he wanted, and have him and Taskmaster team up or something like that.

Here after playing this hot garbage on game pass recently, I reached a point where I couldn't continue anymore and started looking for videos that hate on it just to feel good lol. Absolutely waste of an IP, talent and everyone's time from Square Enix. Like it's not all bad and broken, there's shiny graphics and animations and sounds and the game plays fine yet nothing works together in a satisfying way, the encounters and level design are trash.

I got it for 4 bucks 2 months ago because it's being delisted. The only bad that remained was the repetitive rinse and repeat missions and the combat. You gotta dedicate time into a character to unlock more combos and cooler abilities that are styled after the movies. Which I can see not many are willing to do. Now that everything is unlocked without a microtransaction business economy, I would give it a 6 out of 10 in its current state.

Man speaking facts at 29:00 Iron man really never was a household name before the MCU. Which is insulting to someone who originally was a fan of the character like me. What rdj did for tony stark character was amazing. But originally he was kind of a james bond type bland billionaire with a alcohol problem. He wasnt as charming or likeable as he was in the movies. He was kind of a prick and a user. Ima be real so was mcu iron man bit he was more charming and down to earth. 616 (marvel comics universe) version was not so charming. He would often mope about his insecurities like not being nothing without his suit even though hes a rich billionaire who cam get anything or any woman he wants. Unlike peter parker who constantly has to struggle constantly with real life problems like employment, financial troubles, and relationships all while trying to protect new york from crazy ass super villains and gang lords.

1660ti and i7 here, this runs pretty good, loading times are oddly long on sata ssd, reaction speed in combat... meh, costumes are apeshit disorganized, comic collecting... ya- oh the grind. and enemies able to nonstop keep you down til your dead... and i have to press dodge twice to proper- oh no i knocked out because dodging isnt actually smart. the silver lining: its not a botfest like marvel heroes. maybe there were a bunch of fixes since you made this video.(bought it a lil over a week ago:P)

What I loved about Iron man originally was that he was not only was he wealthy business man like bruce wayne but was also a gifted super genius and engineer. Dude can make a weapon out of anything as he was a weapon specialist and manufacturer. He all those cool as suits that could all do different things in certain situations. They all gave him powers like flight and superhuman strength that could nearly rival the hulk. He was invulnerable to all sorts of harm like bullets, explosives, and lasers. And he had all those cool as gadgets and weapon in those suits. He was so awesome. His arch enemy was the mandarin who was like an evil monarch like doctor doom but asian. He could do all these cool shit with those rings and gave iron man a hard time. I used to watch the 90s show religiously and I had got my dad to buy me the action figures lol. Iron man was my shit back in the day. He still is but these days I still prefer Spider-man a bit more over him. Iron man still is one of my favorite superheroes not only in marvel buy in general.

WAY late to the party, but I appreciate a breakdown of why the game sucks on a technical level. I don't really know anything about that. But, I think the most insidious thing that came about because of this game was all the marketing tricking everyone into buying a Kamala Khan game thinking they were going to get the ultimate Avengers experience that would make everyone forget about the Arkham games or whatever.... And with all the negative things I've heard about Spider-Man 2 and them trying to really push Miles as the new Spider-Man and put Peter on the back burner, maybe I can relax in knowing that my beloved Arkham games are STILL the greatest superhero game franchise ever! #andSTILL!

If you want to I did an actual review on this game. I went into detail on the story, gameplay, etc. I would recommend it but yes, I 100% agree with you on Kamala Khan stuff. It was very deceiving on some many levels. Which made that story that much more insufferable. When it comes to Spider-Man 2 I plan on reviewing that at some point this year so I'm not going to say anything about it. And yes, at this point the Arkham series is still the best to do it. Even though I haven't played knight and up. Arkham asylum - origins is a very solid trilogy imo.

I was way late on the mass effect train and andromeda was the first ME game I played cause I loved dragon age inquisition. I feel the same way. I play a lot of battle royals and I've never rage quit. But this game made me rage quit. This game is the worst game I've ever played. And I've played bad games. Some games when you die and start from the start point is like okay let's go and you want to beat it. This game the first time I died I was like wtf. The dodging sucks the combos suck. The game feel was so bad the most fun this game has is the beginning. Before the training or whatever. I deleted it. Don't even want to finish it. I regret playing it. I was so hype to play it. And I gave it some time so it fix all the sht it needed to fix and still in sep 2022 this game is so trash it sucks so bad. This game is worst then getting broken on in your anniversary. Every minute I played it hurt me. And only finished the first part cause I was streaming. But I deleted it. I just couldn't waste my time and play a game that makes me mad.
