Yeah Rivals is so much of a better live service experience. But I still want you to do the Black Panther DLC for this game. If they had more story DLC like that one, the game could've survived but they didn't put their best foot forward and instead had 2 Hawkeye DLCs. PLEASE try out the Black Panther DLC

I remember getting super mad that the story was so lackluster without many iconic villains that I made my own story for it. It included the Cosmic Cube (Tesseract), Masters of Evil, AIM, Captain Marvel coming in, Ronan the Accuser and the Kree Invasion, and set up the Cube being used to make Ultron. A longer story incorporating more characters and lore would've made this game something worth coming back to

@@monsoon1303 Okay here it is: Having an already experienced Avengers team who's already familiar with AIM, they discover that MODOK and Monica have been doing weird experiments with the Cosmic Cube. They fight them and recover the Cosmic Cube from MODOK. Monica tells them that they were only trying to stop an imminent Kree Invasion. With the Cube, they try to take it back to their base in the Avengers tower. But while they're doing that, they are attacked by the Masters of Evil or the Serpent Society (whichever one works better) who try to steal the cube. After a big battle, they safely return with the cube and get into a fight over what to do with it. Tony Stark and Hank Pym want to use it to make a being powerful enough to stop the incoming invasion (i.e. Ultron). They start working on a "suit of armor around the world" powered by the cube. The other avengers talk and hang out, showing that they don't trust Stark. Bruce Banner decides to build a beacon behind Tony and Pym's back to contact Captain Marvel to help stop the invasion. Then, the tower gets an alert that a ship has appeared in Air Space. It's Ronan the Accuser. He comes down to make demands for Earth's surrender but the Avengers fight him off. He says he'll return which makes Tony and Hank panic to finish Ultron. But the rest of the Avengers clash saying no being should have that much power, even if it's not alive. They have a mini fight over whether to wait for Captain Marvel or build Ultron. Just then, Captain Marvel comes crashing down into New York streets. The Avengers find her and she tells them that she received the message and tried to stop some of the incoming forces but they were just too many. More ships come into the atmosphere and the Avengers suit up. Some of the lower level avengers like Hawkeye and Wasp work keeping citizens safe while the Hulk, Thor, and Captain Marvel work to take down some ships. The fight is looking bad for the Avengers when Ant Man rushes back to Avengers Tower and finishes Ultron. With Ultron, they defeat the Kree Invasion easily and protect Earth. Then, in a post credit scene, Ultron is being shut down by Pym and Stark for now after the others told them to. But after a few seconds, Ultron's eye turn on and they are red. The next DLC would be basically Age of Ultron and introduce Vision to the Avengers to fight Ultron.

The A-Day prologue seriously feels like the beginning of a different game, even down to a couple of plot points that never come back (why is Cap referred to as "The Shepherd"?). It's like they were making a standard action-adventure superhero game, then some snot-nosed nepo baby barged in and demanded it be made into a live-service looter shooter.

Its a good game, I like to play with my friends to feel like an Avenger, you can't feel that in Lego. It's the best solo and cooperative Marvel game to feel like the real character.

If the game wasn't hamstrung to the live service mission structure, it would have made for an interesting singleplayer adventure... Not an absolute classic but a decent experience... It's also important to remember that this was made at a time when Marvel/Disney didn't own the movie rights to the X-Men and were trying to push Inhumans as a legally distinct replacement for Mutants (hence the inclusion of Kamala Khan and the Sentinel-looking Kree Sentry) which is really ironic now that Ms. Marvel's been retconned to be half-mutant...

they definitely did. but they probably started working on the game while the deal was going through so it wasn’t confirmed or finished i’m assuming. however i also think it’s because they didn’t wanna confuse people since the game is based on the movie avengers and characters from the mcu. also the inhuman race is a big part of the story and kamala’s whole character and as we already know, they tried replacing the xmen with inhumans around the same time

I kinda liked the game but yes the fame is so buggy it can become unplayable, like i remember being in some missions and once i got into the elevator the game just stop loading, like actually after the elevator open there is just void, snd if you step out you just fall forever lol
