@@gsleo2396 And it was potential that would have been amazing to See in live action. And that brought me to A problem I've been having with marvel myself. They keep leaping into the till without looking once. Iron Man 2 was better off saved for Phase 2. Modok would have been perfect as the Villain for Avengers 2. A Kree Skrull War movie would have been amazing, considering The Skrulls needed more establishing During Phase 3, especially Talos. Saving Civil War for a later time to give it the proper build up. Blade can get a reboot... but he doesn't need to. And.. I can't stress this enough... Phase 4 desperately NEEDED an Avengers team. And they needed the FF and the Skrulls to do so. With the way things are now, Marvel needs to do A Helluva Lot more Looking Before Leaping.

@@RedYoshi-ct1wxI agree, it feels like these stories were rushed while only using a fraction of what they could have. They might be good movies but when you get a movie with the same characters over and over again it gets repetitive. I really think that the FF should have came after Age of Ultron with their own movie. So that way we get them in infinity war and Endgame, because now we’re getting the X-men and FF after Iron man, Captain America, Black widow, and more are already gone.

I feel like after Endgame they should have just made separate movies as a part of their "multiverse" but didn't need all the tieback to their older films... Like start a new Xmen or FF franchise but theres no need to tie it all together with a multiverse. They could've used their tv shows and future projects like spider man to continue on in their main "universe" and just had other things on the side. The need to tie all of these projects together feels super forced and fan service-y Not to mention how oversaturated the genre has become, like no I dont want to watch 27 movies to understand a 6 episode mini series about a character ive never heard of

Marvel's continuity is still all over the place that it dosen't matter anymore, you just watch a project that looks good and then that's pretty much it, connectivity dosen't matter anymore, despreacy matters to the studio to bring back audiences with nostalgia bait just like with RDJ as Doom, any many more moves of desperacy.

3:22 sadly, although Spider-Man makes sense, it will never be him. He's Sony-owned, so they have very limited use of him. He'll never be a "central" character, as much as it would make sense. The Hawkeye writers wanted him in the show, and no doubt the Hawkeye show would've gotten a lot more attention from general audiences who love Spider-Man, but alas.

While the appearances of the first two Spider Man actors and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine were clearly supposed to be cash grabs, they were still really good because the characters were utilized properly and integrated well into the story. Marvel needs to avoid doing things like forcing specific castings to provoke fan interest like in Doctor Strange 2 and with RDJ as Dr. Doom. They should spend more time trying to push boundaries and craft intriguing stories rather than focusing on fan service. SM: NWH and D&W were excellent. The studio can make more movies like this if they try.

As a casual marvel viewer/fan, the problem I had with the "multiverse saga" so far is that it all feels so disjointed. Just for an example, Spider-man and Doctor Strange both do the multiverse back to back, but they somehow feel completely different from each other in the way they tackle things. In Spiderman, Peter Parker is 3 different aged, different looking people. But in Doctor Strange, all versions of everyone, especially Strange, are just the same people, same age, but with different hair. They don't feel like they belong to the same cohesive universe. And I know multiverse means anything is anything, but it needs to flow better for a connected world. And let's not forget the prequels to those movies, Spider-man Far From Home and Wandavision both TEASING, but ultimately not actually having a multiverse of some kind, just adding to things. And I don't even think Loki S1 did that great of a job simplifying Universes to the unexperienced viewer or someone who doesn't grasp the concept. Way too much focus on "variants" and making it seem like 1 person could disrupt a whole timeline. like if there's an alligator Loki, he's not the variant who makes the timeline have to be pruned or whatever. It clearly happened before that 🙄. Same thing with the new Deadpool and "anchor beings" or whatever. it just adds more questions than answers.

I think the biggest problem is no regular team up movies, doesnt have a to be avengers, could a cap 3 equivilant. It just makes the creators of the movies a bit aimless. “Ok we’re setting up for secret wars in 2 phases from now, but what about right now?” And it leaves the audience feeling even more aimless. And to be honest Secret Wars does not require 3 phases of set up. U just need to introduce multiverse, get Fantastic Four, and get wichever X-Men introduced you want in it. In between we could have blown up Doctor Strange 2 to be a big team up movie to fight Wanda in the multiverse, and had phase 5 end with Cap 4 being blown up to actually be the earth avengers instead of just ending with him forming the team. Also I really think this is gonna slog down Secret Wars, they introduced far too many characters during this Saga. Tell me what you expect Eternals #3 to contribute to the dynamics of the team, or what all the Thunderbolts are going to do, 3 versions of Mrs.Marvel, 2 Hawkeyes, Chleo. Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Eternals, X-Men, etc all have to eat up screen time meeting everyone else when we could have set up at least some of that in earlier movies

They shouldn't rushed the Multiverse saga. Instead they should've made the next saga as the Cosmic saga with the celestials being the big bad villains with the side characters from the Infinity saga being the leading characters this time like Spiderman and Star-Lord. The only new characters that should've been introduced in this saga are the Eternals and the handful street level and cosmic characters like Monica and Ms.Marvel while slowly teasing the presence of the multiverse in some films within this saga. Save Shang-chi, Moon Knight, America Chavez and the whole Loki show for the next saga which will be the Multiverse saga so that the viewers will have a more coherent idea of what was actually going on in the MCU.

I'll probably watch what they release but I just don't feel any enthusiasm for them. Even Doomsday, while I initially felt a bit of excitement for RDJ, I am now feeling like it will just be a mess, because of all this *stuff* it will have to tie in. I understand that a reboot after Secret Wars would help to simplify things, but I can't help but feel as if the idea of that makes me less interested in recent announcements from Marvel, because I begin to think: "What's the point of watching The Blade movie if there's only one before it gets rebooted? What's the point in watching Thunderbolts if there's just gonna be a reboot after?" I guess I'm gonna see Fantastic Four since Doom is gonna be the main Villain of Secret Wars, but other than that film the idea of a reboot happening soon just makes me lose a lot of interest in the films that have yet to be released, because I just start to wonder if it'll even really matter at all

It would’ve taken talented, precision writing to pull off a Multiverse because the very concept of a multiverse obliterates any stakes the audience can have, so you’re basically working from below zero to begin with. Yeah it can be “fun” and “quirky”, but doubtful it could ever be suspenseful, at least broadly speaking. And then Phase 4 was the product where they clearly barely even tried.

Regardless of the quality of the movies and shows, regardless of their confusing terms like timelines, universes, anchor beings, absolute points, etc. The thing I don't like about the Multiverse Sage are the lack of useful cameo's. The MCU was always about those crossovers. You don't have to have an Avengers movie. Civil War and Ragnarok can do it too. Tony was a big part of Homecoming, Fury and Black Widow showed up a lot in the first two phases. That was actually what I really liked about Wandavision. Woo, Darcy and Monica Rambo in one show. That was also what made No Way Home so good. Sure, it had all the actors from years ago uniting in the MCU, but it also had Doctor Strange, one of the main MCU characters. The same could be said about Multiverse of Madness with Wanda and Strange. That is what a cinematic universe is about, that is what the MCU used to be.

Imo, i think that the two main stories in marvel right now are completely disconnected and that is disappointing. The street level story right now is cool but isn’t that well connected, has only served to introduce fisk, ‘kill him off’ and then there is the actual multiverse stuff which had been super disconnected. I think that the best way to do it was to start with Loki. Introduce the multiverse and explore the variants, tva and reason behind the lack of multiverse up to now. After Loki season 1 would be Spider-Man nwh. The multiverse opening allowed for the events of nwh to happen and so it would feel like a nice continuation. Then we have Wandavision to establish the scarlet witch. Then from there, the street level stories would cover characters tracking down other variants and characters who managed to find their way into the mcu. We would then get falcon and the winter soldier to show that the effects of endgame are still present in the mcu. Then I would have that then be followed up by a show that starts similarly to secret invasion but in the end, Fury fails to stop the scrulls but does manage to tell president Ross who then gets falcon/ cap to set up the new avengers team to help prevent the secret invasion. Then I would have The scarlet witch a movie focused on Wanda learning her new powers and finding the darkhold. This would then set up multiverse of madness which would be mostly the same but it would have a lot more cameos in the movie. It would have tie ins to spiderverse, the x men, and the illuminati. The plot would be mostly the same but it would actually have kang the conqueror tracking strange and Wanda down in order to get to America Chavez and kill her so they can’t traverse the multiverse and threaten his power. There would be a big final fight at mount wundagore where strange brings in a team of people he met earlier in the movie (maybe a wolverine variant, 838 mordo, cap variant, etc etc) we would then see an epic showdown between the new team and kang, the new team would end up slaughtered to show kang’s power and it will take wanda’s ‘sacrifice’ by ripping the mountain down on top of both her and kang to defeat him. (It would then have a post credit scene where after seeing the damage done by incursions, strange would assemble a team of street level heros to stop people from other realities from entering the mcu and causing an incursion). The first avengers movie of the phase would be avengers secret invasion in which the new avengers team have to try and fight the scrull threat whilst learning to trust each other (there would be one scrull in the team which marketing could focus around having fans try and work out who the scrull will be before the movie releases). It would end with the avengers losing to that one super scrull from the secret invasion we actually got. We then have the thunderbolts, a relatively short series in which val’s team of ‘heroes’ are assembled by president Ross to also try and help fight the scrull invasion alongside the avengers. The phase would then end with avengers silent war in which the new avengers and thunderbolts would have been manipulated into not trusting each other throughout the course of the thunderbolts series by president Ross. The avengers and thunderbolts would both try and stop the same specific scrull leaders (it would be revealed Ross was giving them both the same missions on purpose) and in the end it would be revealed that president Ross had actually been kidnapped halfway through the thunderbolts show and the same super scrull who defeated the avengers had been posing as him. The avengers and thunderbolts would then have to work together to defeat him before he kills the real president Ross. The heroes would win but it would be revealed in a post credit scene that the scrulls had turned Ross into the red hulk and he would ‘hulk out’ during a press conference on why the avengers had been reformed (the scrull invasion would’ve been kept a secret from the public until nick fury reveals the truth to the press after Red hulk runs away from the conference.

I think it’s bold of Marvel to have had so many different characters and plot threads between cosmic/multiverse, street level, political level and mystical, but I’m curious as to which will have a satisfying conclusion. Seems like political will culminate at the end of phase 5 with New World Order and Thunderbolts and Street Level might between Daredevil or Spiderman 4 (if it is street level, I so hope it is), but mystical seems like it hinges on Blade (i.e. the Black Knight post credits in Eternals makes it seem like he’ll assemble the Midnight Suns or something), and cosmic has so much going on and such major changes that it’s hard to tell how they’ll bring it all together. I just hope most of the plot threads actually come together in this saga. We have Shang Chi’s Ten Rings sending a message, a young avengers team forming, the X Men Universe (more obvious, granted), the Symbiote (more obvious again), the Eternals out in space somewhere, Dane and Blade (and all the mystical stuff), Kingpin’s rise to power, I guess the effects of Secret Invasion, Hercules and the world governments turning on Wakanda. And if they’re going for a soft reboot after Secret Wars, how much of that can they really carry over?

Honestly, I've seen most of The Multiverse Saga projects, and I've still got absolutely no clue what's going to be important and what's not going to be important. You can't follow along with anyone anymore because Marvel have spread themselves too thin, and DP&W has basically just proved that all you really need to do is just make a funny movie with all action and cameos and no substance whatsoever. Basically, the movie equivalent of a synthetic krabby patty. Just throw some good jokes in, get some famous actors from the past back, make some big loud action sequences and profit from it. Make over a billion dollars from it. Doesn't matter if it doesn't have any real themes or narrative, just shovel jokes and cameos down people's face and they'll love it. Also another thing; if someone was to come back to The Multiverse Saga years and years later once all the dust has settled, where the fuck are they even supposed to begin because basically now every single movie Marvel has ever shit out is now all canon, and that is way too much and way too disorganised to get people to try and watch through. The MCU itself isn't a short watch by any means, but at least you can follow it. How the fuck is any non-nerd outsider with no Marvel knowledge outside of the MCU supposed to get excited about any of the things or any of the cameos? What the fuck is the point of all this? Anyways, can't wait for Avengers: Doomsday to feature 10000000 trillion cameos and proceed to become the highest grossing movie ever or something. Geez. What a mess.

I won't ever subscribe to Disney+ and think we've reached one of those "end of era" points like when westerns disappeared from cinema. Sure there were occasional wonders like the Unforgiven but the genre is gone as mass media. Movies like Deadpool & Wolverine are also one-offs. But the "whole saga thing"? Sorry, people like me checked out in 2020.

For all things should matter, Marvel Studios must focus on Great STORY TELLING and Quality of their movies. So that even if it get reboot again and again, the Matter of fact is that everything is just a story. A narrative that connect us to Understand the characters. For me the only thing that would be matter at the END of the day is that marvel Is just a diverse story telling for Everyone. If they manage to stay put on Great Story Telling with a quality of works, The Franchise would be definitely Unlikable for decades or centuries

You can tell feige and the team are tired of the multiverse saga, after the flops and behind the scene this has been a troubled saga. The whole pourpose of this was to bring the mutants and the fantastic four, do some classic comicbook shenanigans to soft reboot the main mcu universe and put them since the beginning and finally have an integrated universe in the way it should be. An irony big hero 6 are currently the only characters out of reach for use

I really think Disney will avoid outwardly making spiderman the leader (because they dont own him) he ll always be a major part but no way will disney ever let sony have that kind of power where hes like the leader he ll always be like a co captain

With the title I honestly thought you were gonna criticize about how little the actual multiverse was included in these films, when you think about it most shows and movies have nothing to do with the multiverse

Saying Johnathan Majors could just be recast is like saying Chris Evans could just be recast. Like if Disney had pretended that Wyatt Russell could just walk into Brave New World as Chris Evans Cap 🤣🤣🤣

DEI and grifters have ruined everything they put their hands on. They don’t have a vision or even any competence, they just want the pay check and the prestige of marvel. Stepping on the backs of actual artists who made the MCU
