It's funny to think how much the 90's Spider-Man Animated Series has influenced future adaptations of Spider-Man by having the black suit affect Peter's behaviour in a negative way or "corrupting" him unlike in the comics where it only used his body when he was asleep and yet almost all future animated adaptations, games and even movies have used that cocept.

I kinda agree with this but is true only partially because that behaviour first appeared in the 1984 what if story what if the alien costume had possessed spoder-man. There peter doesn't rid of the suit in time and the alien took over, spidey became ruthless and angry, he even knock the hulk. Aniway yes, the animated series was great and surely influenced what came after.the good thing here is also the look of the suit that resemble the original alien suit with that kinda xeno twist that in my opinion looks good.never like the raimi black suit, this one instead is great, the symbiote comic one is my favorite but this is great just like the og symbiote. Can't wait to play.

Agreed, those parts where the suit has a different, non smooth texture are awesome, in my opinion anyway, the biceps, thighs, back of Spidey’s head e.t.c. It really gives it an otherworldly appearance, which is obviously the point, it looks pretty much perfect, exactly as foreign as it truly is. It’s like a badass combination of the black suits in The 90’s Animated Series, Ultimate Spider-Man/Shattered Dimensions, and Web Of Shadows, while still having some of its own unique features we’ve never seen before, I really don’t think the white on the top of the hands has ever been an arrow, it’s usually a square, but it looks just as good. Kind of insane that the different textures on certain parts of the suit like the thighs has never been done until now, glad Insomniac have finally done it.

Seeing the black suit in this game makes me really want to see it appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, if that ever were to be made. Think about it, fresh off the end of the second movie, Peter is still struggling through grief over Gwen’s loss. He’s at his lowest point emotionally, making the danger and lure of the suit much higher than in previous adaptations. This should also be where they introduce MJ, which would present a cool parallel between her and the symbiote. Both serve as outlets for his painful emotions, but one is through love and support while the other is through vengeance and power. Kraven, Venom, or Harry could all work well as villains for this movie, but I think this movie should limit itself to two antagonists at most and shouldn’t take place after No Way Home so that it has more freedom to tell a compelling independent story.

I’m really pumped for this game, and have been patiently waiting for the return of spider-man. The first one was done so well in my opinion. The team has to be fans of spider-man because you can see that love that was put into the work of the game. And from what I’ve seen, they think outside of the box when it comes to improvements, and perspective of what each charter is going through. I don’t have high expectations, but I do hope they don’t kill Peter Parker. It’s hard to say anything at this point, and I love the black spider-man suit. I don’t care how long it takes for this game to come out, I only care that this game gives me no regrets of spending the money on it.

I guess the lines on his face (or around his head) are kinda weird, but i honestly don't see a problem with the lines on other areas. Especially since it breaks up the more wet/slimy parts of the suit which btw are my favorite parts. The only real change that I'd give is the white on his hands because the i like the square look more, but they already kinda use it on the regular suit.

@@parkerboy795 the problem is that the whole situation felt contrived and forced. All MJ did was belittle Peter and making him feel like shit instead of directly talking to him. On the other hand Peter was directly trying to be cooperative and communicate with her but she constantly shut him down. Never mind her hypocrisy, “don’t save me Peter, I’m a strong independent wahmen”, then puts herself into danger and needs to Peter to save her, then gets mad when he does do it and belittles him afterward.

Also, it only happened after Peter jumped the gun and attacked the guy she was getting information from. Not his fault for thinking she was in danger, but still. That's really the only time she shut him down. I don't know why you had to emphasize her being a woman, but again, that one time, which she later admitted she was being unfair about. Afterwards, she appreciated his help.

I like the the way the need symbiote suit(slimy and muscle pants) and the symbiote powers look cool and reminds me of web of shadows and ultimate symbiote spiderman from shattered dimensions. Honestly, I thought MJ was fine how she was in the first game, most people would just agree that she's not interesting to play as. My biggest issue with her going into the new game would be, are gonna have ANOTHER breakup story where Peter is losing himself under the influence of the black suit and desperate to save Harry like how he sounds in the trailer? We already know these two have broken up at least one time before, I just don't want to repeat the same melodrama that has been beaten to death in every other Spider-Man story. I'd honestly prefer it if the black suit maybe didn't corrupt Peter so much as enhance even his emotions to such a point that it's only due to the situation he's in that the black suit is pushing him to act different, like he's already desperate and frustrated according to the trailer, and the symbiote only strengthens those feelings, so that he doesn't act entirely out of character the whole time and can actually have a story that isn't "Peter gets involved in hero shenanigans, and now all his friends and loved ones hate him for things outside of his control."

I agree on the breakup thing, but the symbiote enhancing his emotions is pretty much what it does already. The symbiote was never crazy on it's own (before the whole canon "bonding with Deadpool before peter" thing) and it only becomes that way because of the emotions that it fed on.

I'm not banking on a breakup. They worked out their issues with Peter admitting he was being kind of overprotective and MJ admitting she wasn't being fair considering he saved her numerous times. I think she might play a part in freeing Peter from the suit.

do they really have different personalities though?? i don't think they do at least not in the insomniac games Miles is just a 16/17 year old Peter, yes they have differences but i it literally comes from experience... i once heard someone say (in reference to the comicbooks) that you could pick their character dialogue out of a hat and you couldn't tell who it was a lot of the time and i think the same idea applies here for the game... look i know we are all spider-man fans here but i feel that sometimes statements are made with the backing of how someone feels towards a chracter instead of what that character actually is... Miles in the game is a Peter clone... Miles in general is a Peter clone and if you like him cool, but he is too close to Peter's cut out for my liking.

Throughout the game, MJ wants to be more direct in saving people and being a real partner with Peter, but she doesn’t tell Peter she’s doing any of this heroic stuff beforehand. She doesn’t tell him because Peter doesn’t seem open to her being a partner, but since she doesn’t tell Peter he doesn’t have a chance to think over the idea of them being partners. The situation has layers; you can understand both sides as long as you have brain cells (I’m looking at you Mr KZbinr). Their relationship is finally mended when peter and MJ work together to save miles and aunt may, and MJ apologizes for being reckless. It’s a crucial point in the story that’s insanely hard to miss unless you have no capability of understanding a story beyond the most basic levels.

I didn't like how mj is a reporter honestly and the generic "I am not a damsel in destress I can handle this situations that are way too dangerous for me..." The more party chill girl archetype I feel is more interesting than the superhero and reporter love duo especially when I feel mj just took the place of Peter's old job... especially when she works for JJ She just seemed the least interesting character in the game, Yuri, Sable and Black cat were all more interesting female characters...

Insomniac, needs to work on the TMNT franchise…because of what they did to the Arkham/Spider-Man Franchises. The Turtles, need a Fresh take…an actual Upgrade to their Franchise. I get that the MJ segments weren't as fun as being Spider-Man and her behavior could be annoying, but she was mostly alright to me. She does have purpose in the story, but admittingly it should probably be as a major NPC. And she didn't almost get a ton if people killed. If you mean when Li almost triggered Devil's breath at Grand Central station, he was going to do that anyway. Also, I don't want Peter with Black Cat in the games or the comics. In the game, while she did help in the end, she also tricked Peter by lying about having a kid that might have been his. As for the comics, they're just a mess right now and even if Peter is with Felicia right now, it won't actually go anywhere because the writers and editors don't want him to be in a serious relationship. It's not just them not knowing what to do with MJ. They don't want to progress Peter at all and that's why they separated them.

Peter and Felicia having kids ahs NEVER been done before in ANY spiderman media. Isnomniac wouldv'e MADE HISTORY... but they CHICKENED OUT and chose to make Felicia a piece of 💩 for using the concept of a child being in DANGER to ROB people. And making Peter look like a SUCKER YET AGAIN even though he should be well aware of Felicia's tricks by now🤦‍♂️ Insomniacs character writing needs A LOT of work...jesus
