Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC vs PS5 Graphics Comparison - Is PC The Definitive Version?

Insomniac Games has been pumping out quality games one after another this generation, and 2023's Spider-Man 2 was the developer’s magnum opus. After a fair bit of anticipation, Nixxes Software has finally translated the beloved experience over to PC - and fans can finally get a taste of what it has to offer.
The game comes with plenty of features ranging from visual enhancements to quality-of-life improvements, but there are problems. With this video, we will be taking a look at the PC version of Spider-Man 2 and stack it up against the PS5 in Quality mode. Additionally, we will also be taking a look at the performance aspect of it and observe the many improvements and problems on offer.

@@epzo Yeah but peter and venom aren't supposed to have a connection, venom is supposed to despise spiderman in every way, directly trying to ruin his life and kill him as his only two goals, this game threw that out the door, I really enjoyed the game and the story for the most part but the character is far from what it's supposed to be.

Depends on what settings you're using in-game and with Windows. The screen will vary as well, a lot of people won't be playing a PC on a TV or a PS5 on a Monitor and that makes a big difference.

Come on man and people don’t understand and realize how important optimization is. People keep trying to compare these third-party games where the first party is really pushing the system showing people what is capable of. What would a $2500 console do to a high end pc just imagine.. even though we know that will never happen. But Look what a $400 console doing and meanwhile when it first came out, there was nothing faster than it. Let alone you had people trying to build the pc for the same price of the console and failed when it first came out… now they’re doing the same thing with the pro meanwhile, GPU been on the market for years already with multiple discounted prices and still having trouble with it lol. PS5 Pro actually offers more than just graphical improvements which are only near 5%. But it also has network enhancements and higher fps which could probably enhance experience. Cause who doesn’t want more frames if the hardware has a lifespan. But it barely has a lifespan.

He is right, 4k 60 is not viable with any kind of hardware let alone a console that is a mid gen refresh ( not even next gen ) without a CPU upgrade. So why isn't it viable ? The games releasing these days are not even optimised. They get to a playable state after a year or 2. Sometimes the devs don't even care and move to the next game without fixing. ( respawn and Jedi survivor ). Even a 4090 rig struggles to hit 4k 60 without dlss and frame gen. If people want a console to do that at a price point of a console then god help them understand.

PC is sharper that is clear, but this time PS5 is really better and has its own special color look. Everything sharper does not mean more beautiful. between videos are better processed on the PS5/Pro, look carefully at the characters. depth of field is processed better, and has better shadows in the distance

Game crashed like mad with Ray Reconstruction turned on but once i turned it off i have had zero issues since. Its certainly a far more pristine version of the PS5/Pro version with a far better image and higher FPS but the Ray Tracing is another league... But then i am using a bloody good PC but even still, its eating this game for breakfast but something is wrong with Ray Reconstruction...
