It is looking like the main villain MIGHT be William Rawlins, a character from the Punisher MAX series by Garth Ennis. Like the comic counterpart, this dude seems like he's a corrupt CIA official. His name and his role seem to be the only things in common with the comic version here though. He was working with a rogue Russian general as well as the Italian mafia during the comics if I recall, but it seems like they are going a different route here. Ben Barnes' character is also suspected to become a certain iconic Punisher villain as well. Though whether he is Frank's ally or enemy or an ally-turned-enemy in this first season is unknown at this point.

I was gonna say this looked like the story from one of Ennis's Punisher Max arcs I think a cross between Man of Stone and another arc that didn't involve this character but the Generals who pulled his strings in Mother Russia

Yeah it does seem like they are incorporating multiple arcs into it, as well as something original. And ya, Mother Russia is where Rawlins made his first appearance, if I'm not mistaken. He orchestrated a plane hijacking or something like that, for those generals.

I would love to see in every episode of the punisher, just 2 minutes of dream sequence where Frank castle revives the death of his family in different ways and each episode forward the nightmares gets more twisted and violent just to let you know how fucked up is the Punisher, to create empathy between the viewer and the character´s pain, and to remember what is the reason of the madness that he unleashes everyday his leaves his home.

no other Defenders--in terms of any other characters from the other Marvel Netflix shows, besides Karen, they showed Brett Mahoney at the end of this trailer. Also the disc at the end of Daredevil S2 was "Micro" I think (I just remember bc it reminds me of micro chip lol)...also, I love how The Punisher graphics are all themed in a redacted format. So cool!

Jon Bernthal for me is easily one of the best castings for a character in recent memory, like he was born to play castle (Though I would've loved to have seen Karl Urban).
