Loving the card rating vids! Just some constructive feedback, particularly for games that you don’t typically feature on your channel it might be helpful to include a brief overview of how the game is played. I was able to slowly piece together sort of how the game works while watching but a summary at the beginning would have been helpful. I know that you mentioned that there is a video explaining now to play, but I don’t want to have to watch a different video just to be able to understand this one!

Miguel!!! Sorry for not commenting more on the daily uploads, but a big reason why is actually the game you're talking about right now. I've been enamored with it for the past 2 months 😂 I know you might feel like you spread yourself too thin, and I won't lie, I think this game is quite simple, especially relative to mtg, but it is so much fun!!! Every game feels winnable, like a few key decisions during one or two turns were the biggest factor of the results of the match. I think that this lovely game is definitely worth checking out if you can! 🥰

I started playing this game a few months prior to the death of LOR (been playing since before rising tides released) and man it’s just been a blast. Like you said the game is very nuanced, even more so than LOR id say in terms of the mechanics. I really hope you give the game a try 🙏🏼

Another thing not mentioned about 9 cost Zoro is that you get triple effectiveness from attaching don to him. The turn he swings you can attach 7 don to pump him up to 16000 power and then swing 16k three times! Insanely fun (and effective) finishing move.

Seeing many card reviews for different card games made me really want for someone to rate Arkham Horror LCG cards. One of the best card games I've played, has amazing deckbuilding opportunities, but unfortunately might be less popular because it's co-op and physical only. Still, the best co-op on the market in my opinion.

I was fighting an Enel deck where it came down to him with 1 life while I had 4 large swings. He used Leader ability to get one life back after first swing. Then, on 2nd swing, he got a YTOWSD. Then, on the 3rd swing, he got ANOTHER YTOWSD. I was so miffed 😤 Being able to regen 3 life in a row like that is such a ridiculous combo.

When Mogwai asked about trash interaction I assumed he meant the other way, an opponent interacting such as Pudding does to the hand. To which the answer is there's none. Black as a colour is so good right now because they can bypass almost all interaction, their combos come from trash, their board state doesn't matter until they Moria, and then they're the colour that has access to KO protection too. Also they don't care about being forced to counter cos they just puts cards in trash.

Playing along at home. No One Piece experience besides a basic impression of the rules but have played other similar games: Pudding: looks like very good disruption since you're incentivized to build up your hand to counter. Since it leaves you at 5 I don't think it gets too oppressive so called smartphone. Yay. Sanji: fun but ultimately just a body with whatever you pull off of him being the real card, since he doesn't let you cheat on costs. Would have asked if there's 0-cost ways to set up the top of your deck, which makes him better. Guessed gluten-free bread, yay. You're the One Who should Disappear.: Digimon knowledge coming in, if yellow can manipulate their life cards like in that game then it's busted, if not it looks meh. Blindly I guess I'll go gluten-free bread but this one really needs context. Kaido & Linlin: my inner Timmy really wants this to be good. For most card games it looks horrendous. Costs a ton, doesn't do anything the turn you play it, nukes your future development for an effect that's flashy but has a pretty good chance to not win the game on the spot. Guessing smartphone like the fool I am. Gecko Moria: love this card. Army in a can, bunch of on-play triggers, tons of value. Guessing smartphone. It being a Dr Manhattan sounds to me like the game is kinda still developing and cards simply haven't universally reached that power level yet so it's an outlier but I'd expect it to be the norm in a couple years. Lead Performer "Disaster": turn 2 ramp is nice but agreeing with Mog here that ramping by 1 in a game that the normal progression each turn is +2 sounds kinda bad. If you play this on turn 3 going first both you and your opponent get 8 don on turn 4. It also has no counter and from Dragonball I can tell events without a counter value need to do something great to justify being a blank card on defense. NPC if I've ever seen one. Zoro: this is hard because "big guy that doesn't do anything for a turn" is currently established to be bad. However costing 9 means it can be played on turn 5 even if you're going first, is a target for Sanji who we decided is playable and attacking three times can actually represent a lot of damage so he's kinda must-kill. I'll go with gluten-free bread but am lowkey hoping he's better than that. Cool stuff, thank you for the episode. Game looks fun although I'm not personally a One Piece watcher/reader and I kinda dislike the wording on the cards (Sanji and Zoro especially read very awkwardly imo).
