Hai! This video is a day late bc we really underestimated how long it'd take to render it, a lot of work went into figuring out the presentation. I do wanna clarify that for future videos in this series we will make sure to switch it up a lot between different SNAP themes so that literally the same song isn't playing for 1 hour and 30 minutes LOL This should have been avoided but the idea to add some music was very last moment and we were kinda rushed to get it done. Just letting y'all know that I'M AWARE OF THIS 🤣 Hope you enjoyed the vid!

@themegagamer6086Ай бұрын
Jeff is a fairly new (late 2010s) marvel character and he was a part of genetically modified sharks to be amphious killing machines by eating anything but was adopted by Gwen pool in fact he has dwarfism among his kind and is more intelligence equal to that of a small child. The effect is a reference to him going anywhere he wants because he is not really anyone's pet. He is commonly seen with alligator Loki and frog Thor Now knowledge in Yu-Gi-Oh is different that in magic because knowing what your opponent has and playing around it makes cards dead but in marvel snap however you already have an idea of what could be played within the 3 turns unless something odd happens Another reason why kang is bad is that the information could be completely useless because you can't do anything with that information or you already know more or less what could be played

Snap is such a unique card game, I really wish you couldve showed CGB a turn or two and/or maybe the final turn resolution so he gould grasp the idea of the game a little better. Him talking about combat and removal cards is really telling that he has no idea how these cards are actually played and why.
@willowhealy453Ай бұрын
giving away too much too early is a good way of making it too easy for a seasoned card game player to guess mechanics and the value of them, he quickly caught on that there were only creature cards so this is literally only a problem if u stopped watching after the first half hour, i would much rather have 3 more videos of cgbs evaluations than just him seeing the mindgame aspect of the final turn and being able to accurately rate cards p well from there on out, u r asking for something that kind of messes with the appeal of these videos which is someone going in blind and understanding the ways a card game is unique by asking good questions and getting cards wrong in ways that reveal things about the game
@murphthasmurf5923Ай бұрын
Assuming you’re gonna keep making more of these (please do) definitely take the advice from the comments of explaining the mechanics to total new players in more detail, especially around locations. If CGB comes back for another round be sure he knows about how locations reveal too.
@jamesaditya5254Ай бұрын
First time watching your content, coming from other channels that also recently did these cross-cardgame analysis. Love the editing and layout, and one criticism I'd pitch in (though you quickly caught onto it yourself, so this is more of a reminder) is that the order you show these cards are important. Give them examples of powerful destroy cards and a bad discard card before showing Daken, etc. In a way, you're avoiding the situation of guest not knowing how to properly gauge a card without context, by giving them context from previous cards. You actually did this (kinda) by telling him about Killmonger before showing Nova. I'll happily eat up your excuse, and props for catching yourself on the act of doing CGB dirty lol. I get the part that it's your favorite card and if nothing else, CGB is the best guy to get "done" in. Playing bo1 in a game where you have to draw lands requires some mental fortitude

Omg Mog is evil. Can't wait for him to hit CGB with Deadpool in the next episode to double up on the Daken-Nova dilemma. For future guests, I think it'd help if you showed them a picture of a board with some cards placed too, so they can better visualize it. Also using the word "bet" when explaining the cube system helps a lot imo. You did occasionally go off into tangents here a bit which isn't necessarily bad but can be a tad confusing for the guest or viewers that don't play the game.

Hey Mog, I've been eating up all these card collab videos for a while now so I'll give some feedback as well! I think maybe because you're so excited to explain, or maybe because it's your first time, but I think you're overexplaining the actual cards and archetypes themselves. What I find most interesting videos is seeing the guest who has no experience having to find the questions themselves (for Nova and Daken, for example, giving him the chance to ask about what "cards getting +2 " meant is good, but I think it's more fun to see the guest figuring out how good exactly getting +2 per card on the board is, instead of you just explaining what the max payoff was, and telling him exactly what some of the common destruction cards are. I think explaining the rules of the actual game really clearly and in depth (like deck size, how the turns work, how many cards per location etc.) and letting the guest ask questions about the cards to see their thought process is the most interesting to me, but maybe you or others disagree. Either way, enjoyed watching :D

One of the worst mechanics you can put in ANY game, because it's NEVER fun is "Lose a Turn". You want to play a game, being told "not this turn" is awful. That original version of leader is functionally "4 power, your opponent skips their turn AND loses the cards they played" Yes, there's on reveal effects and stuff so it's not 100% 1:1 but that is basically what you're doing.

As somebody who has never played this game before, Kang seems like it could have been or could still be interesting with a change. If it always replaced itself, it would be interesting like… if you top deck Kang on the turn you play him, it’s like you’re playing an 11 card deck. If it always replaced itself, it would probably be decent or maybe even too strong. But it just kinda… sucks if you draw it before turn 5. And sure you can bluff with Kang but like… yeah like you said- a good player is probably going to call your bluff and they won’t simply just leave once you initiate a snap.
