I'VE BEEN CALLING THIS FOR YEARS! Seriously, they needed to do an Exiles series right at the start of the Multiverse Saga. It could have been tied into the TVA even using the Timebroker and the Crystal Palace.

It was my one problem with the Incursions storyline from the comics a decade or so ago and my real evidence the X-books were being intentionally downplayed out of spite when Disney didn't have the X-men rights. A story about a universe dying prematurely causing multiversal collapse? That is literally what the Exiles were brought together to stop. And they don't appear or even get mentioned? So glad to see this news cause I really dig the concept and most team members.

That’s what I hoped for as well! It would’ve been perfect for the beginning of the Multiverse Saga. I like what they did with the TVA and What If…? but I’d much rather see the Exiles take their place.

Exiles was always a great book. Blink is one of my favorites and she was usually on that team... plus the craziness they put in there... a chibi wolverine toon standing with a cowboy T'Challa and the rest... love to see them embracing just how crazy things can get in infinite possibilities.

What If? Beginning to end is turning out to be a fantastic series. Not every episode has been a gem of rare value, but they have all been quality. And the building on what has come before, amazing. I look forward to the Exiles and more What If?

I think there's a lesson for all of us in the What If finale. That line about what something is not being the same as what something means hits kinda hard. A lot of people see the MCU as marvel comics but they don't fully rake in what the MCU "means". It doesn't all have to be the same as the comics. People watching MCU content and being upset about what it is being different from what Marvel comics mean to them. Even the Watchers weren't seeing the possibilities because they stood too far away. The possibilities for the MCU are endless. It's all something someone came up with based on characters we all know. It's it all perfect? Absolutely not. But there was a time when we wished we had even this. The Dr Strannge movie from the 70s. That Hulk and Thor movie from the 80s. Spider-Man in the 80s. Generation X in the 90s. Fox Marvel. Tobey Mcguire Spider-Man. Has it all been perfect? Hell no. I hated Tobey as Peter Parker and Hugh as Logan, but its all led to here and we can't expect it to all be just like the books we read. Sticking so hard to the past is ruining the present and it will only harm the future of something that we all love. Comics and movies based on them.

S3 What if was very bummer except the red guardian/winter soldier and last two episodes. Most was filler. They are squandering What if and they should have done a few more seasons until the end of multiverse saga then switch to Exiles.

Will the exiles contain T'Challa Star-Lord, Thanos-killer Gamora, Party Thor and Lone Black Widow? Or is it only gonna be Captain Carter, Byrdie, Kahhori and Storm? Not that I'm complaining. I loved the new team! I am seriously surprised that we got an episode with four female leads and it was actually the best episode so far! I remember watching the finale of Season 2 and no matter how hard I tried not to think of it, it felt highly feminist! But Episode 7 on the other hand, it just felt so good! It had 4 female leads, and all of them were portrayed really well! Them meeting Infinity Ultron was peak! I think this episode perfectly showed how to show empowered women characters without outright promoting Feminism. They all work together but still take the help of Ultron, and that just felt amazing! Can't wait for the finale to wreck my brain!

Exiles is an appropriate approach, serving both jumping off AND jumping on point for viewers as the story progresses towards Secret Wars, allowing variants of ALL kinds to cross over, creating a much more cohesive "Multiverse Saga" than what had been shaping up in the first years after IW/EG. looking forward to how this ALL plays out!

While true about What If's being largely self contained, one of the most compelling What If's was so good it had a sequel. The one where the X-men lose to Dracula and Wolverine become Lord of Vampires. Just the TEASE of how a small band of turned X-men ran through the X-book rosters and then the larger Marvel NYC (when that was basically where every super lived for some reason) was so good. Also highlights the deep cut that Dracula is absolutely a top 10 X-men villain and threat because comics are weird.

What If's season 3 arc could actually be the exact thing the MCU needs to fast-thread some of the loose ends. I have a theory that the Peggy Carter we get in Doomsday will be the live-action Captain Carter from What If, pending the Exiles outcome. I also believe Natasha Lyon's character will be Biddy The Duck, and the X-Men will be brought in by Storm, Goddess of Thunder. It's a stretch, but all the pieces are there

The biggest thing about Exiles that all of the non-comic reading KZbinrs and leakers miss, is that it is, in many ways, an X-Men related team. The original Exiles were made up of a bunch of Age of Apocalypse X-Men (Blink, Morph, Sabertooth), with other alternate earth X-Men, like Nightcrawler’s daughter Nocturne. It later became a 616 Havok book, where he was trapped on an alternate earth. More confirmation that the post Secret Wars MCU will revolve around the X-Men.

Maestro Hulk is a must, and while I will be sad that What If is ending, it never really fully embraced the vignette format of the books, or used it to give some non comic fans some first looks at new characters. Not everything has to connect.

Exiles and generation X were two of my favorites comics and the two series i collected to completion! I can not wait for this!
