I remember finishing this game on the PS2, which was REALLY hard, because I had no memory card, meaning I had to finish the entire game in one day (my parents where not pleased) Then I finally finished the game and I got a whole load of depressing endings because I had to cut corners and I was just depressed for the rest of the day.

Recap Mutants are killed by a genocidal virus, and considering what it becomes in the comics, humans are as well. Krang usurps Namor and nukes the surface. Senator goes Adolf Hitler on the mutants. Mistique beats the crap out of Xavier to the point of murdering him. Affecting them so much that even the dead NIGHTCRAWLER says goodbye. Two Asgardian legends die. Odin is killed by Surtur and Thor becomes a grieving king. The Shiar refuse alliance with Earth. What happened to the Skrull in the comics happens in the game. Odin only knows whether or not Thanos is in posession of the Infinity Stones. The Devil does what you would expect from the devil. Basically, you fucked up.

While everyone is wondering what Nightcrawler is doing at Xavier's funerals (which is a fairly good question), I'm more confused as to why the death of Professor X causes the X-men to disband. I mean, the death of the founder shouldn't destroy what he created, especially since I doubt he would want that. He would definitely want his school to survive and be run by a worthy successor (probably someone he chose for after his death). So what the hell, X-men? Your decision makes even less sense than Nightcrawler coming back from the dead.

Back when I first played this game on ps2, I got the thanos takes over ending by mistake. I remember seeing him sit there and he literally had the gauntlet and everything and I somehow completely forgot about him until he showed up in the MCU. MUA really exposed me to a lot of the things being used in the movies. This was even before the MCU even started, it’s crazy how huge these characters have become, I’m glad this game helped shape my love for Marvel even to this day

I wish that a future/the next MUA game comes back to this timeline, the true OG timeline, because this was the story (the first two games) that many of the series' fans including myself grew up and made a connection with. All of these futures shown here were basically teasers of all the possible story arcs that the series was going to explore going forward, and let's not forget the one surrounding Galactus' intentions to attack Earth that was never continued.

In Mephisto's realm, it doesn't matter what you do. if you save Jean Grey, Mystique blames and kills Professor X causing the X-Men disband and if you save Nightcrawler, Jean will return as the Dark Phoenix and kill those who didn't save her. That mission is a lose-lose situation anyway.

Yeah probably, but considering how easy it is to defeat mephisto (no matter how 'fierce and menacing' he is portrayed in comics and animations) Human Torch could probably do better at binding the Hulk and Juggernaut in a hellish fire dimension against their will (albeit that they are both so big as to not be able to fit through the bars that jean and nightcrawler were held in).

Judging by how Thanos's blast have been described as quasi-mythical in nature, it's safe to say that he also has a good grasp of science and magic as well that rivals Dr. Doom. Considering that Reed Richards comments on how he can barely understand the simplest of Galactus's technology and Silver Surfer gliding through Thanos's ship was astonished and said"Amazing. The technologies involved at operateing on this level would tax even Galactus's scientific abilities, yet Thanos roams here freely."
