From this scene, I feel like Tony was angry and frustrated at himself. He wanted to capture the heroes but ended up getting his best friend injured, which is why he muted the raft and asked for Caps location as well as not telling Thaddeus Ross about the location. He also made truce with Bucky and Cap until Baron revealed his parents death.

Rhodes falling is tony’s fault. Like it was an exposed arc reactor which is a design flaw by tony. Easy target. whats the point of such a powerful armour when a shot to the arc reactor can take it out.

If you look at it, he was aiming at the falcon diagonally which will only hit his thruster instead of the wings itself meaning he won't be able to follow them and his wings will just be a glider. One thing I am sure is that, one wrong hit and it will kill someone. So yeah war machine almost died.

@@jaylord00 agreed even rhodes said to hit the thrusters and turn his wings into a glider so that shot was meant to incapacitate falcon not kill him but falcon moved away and the shot hit war machine’s exposed arc reactor causing him to fall to almost his death.

@@munawwarbawani7859 If you watch the 1st iron man movie, Tony was shot by a gun straight to his arc reactor if you checked it on slow motion and a tank to his chest area. His armor on that movie hardly has any damage. Just look at the armor of war machine and you can see how torn it is from that beam. Basically that shot from vision is lethal even without the intent to kill and even if tony enclosed it with the armor, you can see that the armor was cut open.

I point to this as the moment that shows why Steve was completely justified in hiding the truth from Tony. Stark *very clearly* has emotional instability and cannot be trusted to do the right thing when under emotional duress. It showed from his panic attacks in Iron Man 3, his drunken rave in Iron Man 2, it shows when he blames Steve for the loss against Thanos despite there being NO POSSIBLE WAY Steve could have made it to Titan, and it shows right here. Falcon did absolutely nothing wrong in this situation. If anything, he did it all right. He was firing blanks in front of Rhodey just trying to get him to break pursuit. The instant he notices Rhodey is in free-fall he dives just as fast as Stark trying to help him. The only person to blame here is Vision, who was not aiming properly. Vision is supposed to have complete control over his beam similar to Darkseid's Omega beams, but he was too busy flirting with his borderline underage girlfriend to focus. And what does Tony do? Immediately shoots Falcon point blank out of NOTHING but misguided rage. Didn't even attempt to think about it, didn't stop at all, he just instantly lashed out at the first thing that he saw that he can scapegoat. He hit Falcon so hard that it caused him to do an entire backflip, the force of which is nearly guaranteed to have caused massive amounts of bruising and a possible ribcage fracture. But Tony doesn't care. He's just mad and offloads it onto the first person he can blame without thinking of the consequences or reasoning for his actions. Tony Stark is ultimately a hero. His unbridled passion to make things right is what eventually won the day. But don't forget for a second that same unchecked emotional passion is exactly what caused half the problems to begin with.

Well that's how most humans react when they are angry and panicking. Rhodey was dying, and sam was the only one there and he even said "sorry" when it wasn't his fault. That doesn't change anything, in fact it puts more pressure on the situation. Plus the only problem he created was ultron. And he solved more (nuke through wormhole, snap at the end of endgame). I'm not defending him shooting sam but that was understandable since he was in a storm of emotions at that moment.

He is absolutely not justified in keeping ita secret especially since it broke their trust. He could have easily explained it in away that would make tony channel his anger at Hydra(especially since he wasn't 100% sure it was Bucky who did it) Yes tony can act on emotions but like 95% of the time its justifed or in the moment. Besides in this case he didn't eccen hit sam that hard.

If you ask me then vision tried to shoot Falcon a little bit off target if you see very closely when vision takes aim and shoots his mind stone beam then you will see that the beam does go for his thrusters but it was a little bit more above than where he was flying. It just appears like that.

Tony started including an emergency parachute, but War Machine is the stolen early model that didn't have one, and apparently the military never saw fit to include one. Also, since War Machine had a complete power failure (unlike Tony's later suits, War Machine is entirely powered by the single arc reactor), it wouldn't have deployed anyway. The armor was dead.

@@gatherer818 since Rhodey first stole the War Machine suit, he and Tony have been on hundreds of missions together and Im sure he has had ample oppurtunity to work on Rhodes' suit. If the armour doesnt have an emergency power source then that is another design failure.
