(Marvel vs Capcom 2) Thanos beginner's guide

This is a guide dedicated to people who want to use Thanos in Marvel vs Capcom 2! There's nothing high-level or super technical here - just the basics to get you started with the character

Thanos is on my main Mid Tier team. 4:35 - His Back + HK is actually extremely useful both as an Anti-Air (aka anti-rushdown) and as a combo setup. It works well as an AA because it is quick and high priority, and then you can easily combo into Soul gem when it connects. Thanos's Back + HK is especially useful for him since he is slow and clunky and has a wide hurtbox which makes him vulnerable to rushdown.

These character guides are informative and helpful. Since MvC2 is a team based game rather than a 1v1 game, assists and team synergy are crucial. I suggest adding in a section about assists that work well with the point character and showing combos and strategies as well as matchups. That would help players with team composition and fill in gaps/weaknesses that the point character has.

In the corner, Thanos actually has an infinite with Dash, 4HK, LK Death Sphere, which can then be looped.

really wish the UMVC3 Thanos mod did a fusion between this version and MVCI, that would've been awesome. Still love the mod tho and your vids man

I just saw this comment now so I apologize for the late reply! Having elements of mvc2 Thanos in umvc3 Palette Swap would've been sick and it was a missed opportunity imo. Thank you for the support, T- Virus! I always recognise that name when you comment and I'm very grateful for your comments
