Homelander and Butcher are too important to the story to not survive to the last episode, but for that same reason they won’t survive the last episode. If they were to kill a member of the Boys, it would be MM, Kimiko, or Frenchie. Any of the new ones are likely to be killed off, either A-Train or Deep will be killed in S4, but not both. The other will definitely die in S5 though. Ryan, Huighe, and Annie will very likely survive.

I think Ryan has the best chance at killing Homelander, or at least the best reason to do so. He destroyed Stormfront instantly, as an untrained child. Imagine how much stronger he would be with a little age and training (or boosted his powers with some V right before the fight). Plus, his motivating reason is very powerful, especially considering he looks at HL as a father figure right now. For HL to change from father figure to the guy who r-word'd your mother; that would motivate almost anyone to an extreme degree. Maybe Ryan and Billy could team up to take HL down together. That would make for a good send off for Billy if he took temp V one last time to help his "son" defeat their shared enemy. Ryan could make for a good addition to Boys team, and it would be fitting for him to step up that much, if Billy was out of the picture. Another avenue I could see the story taking: Billy takes V to cure his illness, but only so he can defeat HL (maybe with Ryan's help), then to help disperse the sup virus quicker. It would also kill him, but lets face it, Billy has no problem being the martyr for a cause like this. The one issue I have with this option is, all the sups that have proven themselves to not be pieces of shit and actually help the Boys. They'd have to find away to protect them, or remove their powers before the virus is released. There's no way they would kill all of them off, it would tank the show.

Most definitely, a train would be the one to die if anyone does die. Hes going through his redemption arc and doing things to help the boys, and usually, when an antagonist takes a turn for the better and the writers try to get us to like them. They almost usually always die. A good example is Howard from BCS. We hated him for the majority of the series for screwing over Jimmy and Kim. However, before his death, he started going through his redemption arc, and he became more likable until it was over. A Train is going through the same thing, and he will most likely die at the end of this season. Can someone let me know if I was right after the finale?

The virus will be created Kimiko gets infected and cuts her leg off, Kimiko speaks for the first time to Frenchie and A-Train survives this season. Main Ashley takes V, and the last scene of the season is Homelander looking at Soldier Boy in his coma.

Butcher is going to stick around. We all know that. SPOILER ALERT- after Ryan went to visit Butcher , Homelander went Ballistic with jealousy I'm sure he will find a way to get even. Also we have to consider another possibility Homelander knows Hughie overheard the truth about Newman and Homelanders real plan and them being in cahoots during Voght on Ice rehearsal. Hughie knows Newman is a Supe The Boys know Newman's daughter is a Supe now too. They could kill his dad as a warning. Homelander could kill Butcher's dog to get even. A train could get found out or could sacrifice himself saving one of the Boys or one of his family members or exposing the truth to others or by giving Butcher some permanent V vials to save him. Newman's daughter could be killed during a future white house take over down the line in season 5 either because her powers go out of control, by Homelander when trying to force Newman to obey him, or because she attacks someone and they have to defend themselves. I think the Homelander one is the better solution. Homelander might die in season 5. Maybe by Ryan wising up and realizing he's a complete monster and defending Butcher and the Boys or stopping him from hurting ppl anymore. Ryan will get fed up because he still has a conscience and humanity unlike his insane manchild of a sperm donor.

I just find it suspicious why Annie has never gone with Hughie to the hospital to visit his dad who is in critical condition. She should be there for Hughie through it, and she should also care about his dad, but if the writer's want it to be a big reveal later that no one else sees his mom except for him, it makes sense why there are never nurses, doctors, friends, anyone else in the room with hughie and his mom.
