The most interesting thing about Bagley, and all the kings youth really. Is their ridiculous work ethic. I don't think I've ever seen a group of 5 rookie contract players who have the work ethic that Buddy, Bagley, Fox, Giles, and Bogdanovic have. It's why Buddy and Fox spiked this year and made huge strides, while its why Bagley's gotten comfortable with his current game late in the year and Giles has rapidly gotten back into a game he's spent 2 years away from to recover his legs, while Bogdonovic is just a work horse who never stops playing the game in the off-season. That work ethic will be the equalizer that turns Bagley from a dangerous weapon to an elite talent, he just needs to make his free throws at a higher rate and as long as he's smart enough to fix some of the technical problems in his game, like his passing and footwork, Bagley is scary, especially since a lot of those technical problems are covered up by raw talent alone.

I totally agree. I think in a few years they can be real contenders, even though Bogdanivic and Hield are 26 now, their playstyles don't rely on athleticism, so they could still be pretty good, plus the young core of Fox Bagley and Giles.

Great video yet again! Stoked when I saw you posted a new one! I do think Bagley is going to be an all star even as a sub-par defender. You can teach a player to take quicker steps & stay down. While his vision may not improve a ton, it'll be worth it because, as he gets more and more reps, he's going to be a scoring machine.

As a Kings fan, I have loved having him on the team this year. I know a lot of us were pulling for Doncic in the draft, but Bagley brings exactly what we need: a competent rebounder and a threat in the post. We all know about his weaknesses passing, but he has shown some flashes with Giles recently. That frontcourt is going to be something to be reckoned with soon.

understand Doncic is a great player with superstar potential, but he does not fit the Kings playing style. Also the kings need a big man more than a playmaker or shooter... they have a great playmaker (fox) and shooters of course (Hield, Bogdanovic, Bjelicia) . Though i will admit Doncic is a better all around player at the moment, Bagley is a better fit for the kings right now. Kings share the Ball a LOT! They are currently playing a fun brand of basketball, and while Doncic is great look what happened to Dennis Smith Jr. who was a great point guard last season. Well imagine him doing the same thing to fox.... we needed a rebounder and rim protector more than a shooter and playmaker. In the end I’m glad we have BAGLEY! 4-0 since he has been back!!

@Dick Nutter IV "we have to be patient with big men. They take longer to adjust to the NBA than a guard" Big disagree on this one. Jokic took one season with him as a starter and already showed what he had that makes him an elite level player on the offensive end with his court vision and shooting ability. Embiid took half a season to tease that he's one of the most dominant offensive players in the post. Took a whole season and a playoffs to show he can do it on both ends of the floor with elite rim protection as well. KAT before getting injured showed his growing versatility as a scorer, shooting at least 40% from 3-point on a crazy 8.5 attempt clip. NBA bigs already show how dominating their strengths are and further refine it to a consistent level while adding something even more valuable. Otherwise you turn into gimmicks like Jahlil okafor who can only score in the paint but not do anything else. Which is why Bam Adebayo looks like he took the leap this year after the Whiteside trade. He's been developing that game and his handles/court vision add value for his team performance. Simply put if Bagley can't start applying what he did last year as a full year starter and add other stuff, he's nowhere close to the likes of the elites like the guys I have mentioned or even Anthony Davis.

For me the main thing is that once he gains 10-15 pounds and gets some 'grown man strength' he'll be great size for a smallball 5 and his relative skill deficiencies will be even less of an issue. Bagley will be better than Luka. Every part of Bagley’s game is still developing. If Bagley’s game doesn’t develop at all he is still a 20 and 10 guy easily.

I have so much faith in him for some reason. I think his career highs can be 26ppg and 14rpg. I also really believe that he can become a pretty good 3pt shooter. Maybe 40% on few attempts.
