Little tip from a marine here Mav, also love the videos. When you have the heater for the MRE, obviously put water in it but fill it a little past the line on the bag. Then shake it a bit so the water can spread over the heating packet. Once it heats up a bit, smack it a couple of times on the heater and it’ll warm right up. The one time I went Ice fishing with my dad, grandad and cousin was a scary horrific experience. We went out late in the season on Lake Simcoe here in Ontario. We were way out on the ice in a rented hut. The ice cracked all night scaring the shit out of me! The water kept fluctuating in the hole...didn't sleep a wink. Caught crap. In the morning there were huge sheets of fresh ice on top of the existing ice. You'll never catch me out on the ice ever again.
