Hey MAV, important reminder! Always put your manual transmission in gear when you are parked up, either Reverse or 1st gear depending on the slope you are on. It's a double safety especially with the heavy build the E-break is going to fail at some point and none of us wants the bug rolling away by itself at night with you sleeping in it.
@yusufali-zf2po5 ай бұрын
doing that is not good for the gearbox, its unhealthy
@flacmurry78305 ай бұрын
@@yusufali-zf2po sorry but that's simply not true...there is no force acting on any gears because the Ebreak is holding the car anyway, it's just a safety feature. Whatsoever there is also not as much force on the gears as accelerating from a stillstand for example. Sorry and not sorry but I am sure you haven't driven a lot of manuals in mountainous areas so please keep your hearsay to yourself.

I've always kept any manual I've owned in reverse when "parked" as I was always told it is the strongest gear. I had a car a while back that actually lost its e-brake so this was the best way to keep it in place for a bit.

Just a little tip for calzones- Use one piece of dough and stretch it out like a pizza, put the ingrediants on one side and leave a bit to fold on the sides so you can then tuck the dough in a spiral patern. Make sure you also cut a slit in the dough for it to steam, best way to make a calzone imo

I was about to say if he coulda waited a little more, and cut a few slits for steaming, I usually get a riser(an elevated grate off the pan) put the calzone to the side and add water and get that boiling first with the lid, then when most of it is gone put the calzone back on the riser and leave it on to steam it to perfection of cheese stretches. it also doubles as to ease up the pan to clean it later.

Give a good stir to mix sauce powder and water with the pasta or rice, or whatever is in the Knorr package. Fold it over, secure with a binder clip, and let sit 10 minutes or so, stirring occasionally, once or twice over the duration of the liquid absorbing.

Plus, having an automated, adjustable roof, adding an actual kitchen with counter space for a camping stove, and an actual sink with running water! I bet the build was like playing a life-sized, 3D game of Tetris, with fitting everything in. I love to see creativity like this in people! Keep up the amazing work! 👍🏾🤌🏾🔥🔥🔥

Too funny, my daughter turned 18 today. We took her to Bone Fish Grille for dinner. She ordered the rainbow trout at her boyfriend’s suggestion. He & his 3 brothers spend a lot of time fishing in the upper peninsula on Lake Superior every summer. Unfortunately, she didn’t care for it at all. Fortunately, her bf was with, so he ate it for her. They’re headed up there the first 10 days of July. They’re camping on the lake shore. This will be my daughter’s first time camping. I grew up camping on every single vacation my family took. My dad and mom were raised by parents that were in their early 20s when the great depression hit. They were taught to be very miserly and very practical with their money. I enjoyed camping as a small child but as a teen, I began to despise it. My back has always bothered me and we didn’t sleep on mattresses. We slept on the ground. Thankfully, my husband isn’t a fan of camping, therefore our girl has been very pampered with the best hotels we can afford, (reasonably). We take roughly 2-3 trips per year w mini trips to Kalahari, Frankenmuth, MI throughout the year as well. I’m so nervous we’re going to answer a call to our girl (only child) crying bc she’s miserable & grossed out by bugs and ask us to come get her. We’re in a suburb of Detroit…. We r not driving 6.5 hours one way to pick her up and guarantee his parent both ex military hard arses aren’t going to take kindly to her pampered high maintenance needs…. I’m praying that she surprises herself and us and decides she’s a wilderness girl.

I’m in SW lower Mi, and we camp every chance possible. My folks did it, we do it, my kids do too. Our 1st trip this yr is in 2 weeks. Always use a tent, sleep on the ground and I’m 67 next month. Maybe I’ll break down and use a air mattress this yr, we’ll see.. Happy Camping
