Mary thank you. My mom passed away unexpectedly in 2016. She listened to your music frequently over the years. Hearing these songs again reminds me of her. Many road trips were spent as kids hearing your music and passing the miles with mom. These songs make her seem not so far away. Thanks again.

Mary, I hope you read this. If not, I am still happy to share with others. My mom and I were talking about the "Come on come on" album today. And she brought up the "I am a Town" song. She started to talk about how she could see (picture in her mind) every detail so vividly. And how it made her cry everytime she heard it. (This song and "Only a dream" are the songs she emphasized most.) We both agree that you have a gift. It's like you were meant to write. Anyway, what I wanted to share most!! As our conversation continued, Mom said "I played that album maybe 250 times! Hah!" And I responded with "I know, Mom. I was there." Every weekend when my mom was off of work, she did her laundry and cleaning. And she always had music playing. But for a WHILE there, it was that album alllllllll the time. Talking about it today, made us both cry. Because it wasnt only the album that made me feel happy. It was the MOMENT that your music helped to create for us. My memory of my Mom holding a laundry basket on her hip and dancing and singing, while I danced and sang with her-- was happening because of your writing and your songs. I cry immediately when I hear your voice, because I can also hear my mother singing as well. SO! Do it Mary!!!! If you read the whole thing. Comment back or hit the like button so we can celebrate that our expression of love for you, made it to you. ❤❤

I can’t tell you how meaningful it is to hear one of my favorite songs, one that I listen to for inspiration regularly, from your famous self in your kitchen. Back in the day when things were really hard for me, I played “The Hard Way” from a homemade mix cassette in the car on my 2.5 hour one-way commute to seminary and back. Listened to it every day.
