They did the real mary of scots so dirty with this scene, historically she wore the black gown, but then it was taken off to reveal martyr, cardinal, blood red under garments. It was litteraly her last moment of life and she throws the ultimate shade to everyone. The blood red meant so many things, cardinals wear this color, she is catholic and religion was a major conflict at this time. It also symbols martyrs, she was the rightful Scottish queen(and it is up to debate, but also the rightful queen of england) and the english killed her. She was dying for a cause in a sense. Her wearing the red also made the backlash she was getting from her reign, her 2nd and 3rd husband, forgotten. She became a lengend, a beloved Queen in history. Of course I did like the Françis is back scene.

I’ve decided to rewatch reign and this scene gets me every single time!!! Broke my heart when Francis was killed. Mary kept her promise she did love again but she always loved Francis more. He sat there waiting for her and oh my gosh I can’t get through this scene without crying, it’s so beautiful. Perfect ending to a finale.

The whole time I hoped that her and Darnley would get along, because I had a feeling that he actually felt something for her. But she made everything so complicated??? And when they showed the scenes of Francis and her, I realised that he was the best character in the show and without him everything got worse. I cried so much and I could cry again, because it's just so sad :( I know it's not real but I'm really depressed because of the ending. She had her son for like 2 days and she never saw him again and then she died alone after being captured for 21 years. I wonder what happened to her brother and Catherine and if anybody cared about her death. I wish the directors could make another season and would show more details.. Man I miss Francis, he was so pure 😞
