Well, it doesn’t have to be completely accurate. For example, the three cinematic versions of Peter Parker so far have been bitten by a genetic modified spider with all new kind of proteins in her venom just like the in the Ultimate version ( Earth-1610, I missed that alternative world) while the original version of the character was bitten by a radioactive spider.

While I do like the movie overall, Adam Scott and Emma Roberts just steal the show whenever they're on-screen. But than, when people are that talented of actors playing relatives of one of the greatest fictional characters in the world, everyone else just had no chance.
