Treasure Planet was intentionally released the same day as Harry Potter so it would fail, and so Disney could use it as an excuse to say "2D isn't successful." Then Princess and the Frog was critically acclaimed but had "Princess" in the name so people didn't go because they assumed it was only for little girls

I was taken to see this film last week with a friend as a belated Christmas present. It was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Absolutely amazing. We loved it. The songs, the acting, the singing, the dancing etc etc was brilliant. The whole thing was just sheer escapism.

I’m a grown man, a home builder, I went in to see this movie in my lumberjack shirt, cowboy boots and my carhart vest. My mom showed me the original quite frequently when I was 4-8 and then I forgot about it. I was choked up the entire movie hoping nobody saw what was happening to me. It stirred up some childhood emotions and memories I didn’t know I had. Most embarrassing 2 hours of my life.

She might be cold, but she deeply cares about the family and friends, she always does what she believes it’s correct. And she’s incredible at fixing things. But I see why Slytherin, she’s narcissist and very confident, and may also be very tricky and persuasive to get what she wants, but she uses these abilities to do good for the children, not herself. Crazy tough alert! What if mary poppins is Peter pan's mother!? Think about it both of them are upbeat,seemingly perfect,they come from the sky and land of imagination,both of them have a common enemy growing up,both of them encourage kids to be kids live to the fullest and be quirky,they using imagination as the tool to acchiev this goal,when everything fails they have one last weapon to bring others to their home a fantasy land the diffrence that they do it in diffrent ways because in a sense Peter Pan is weaker he's only able to bring the people to the land of imagination but Mary Poppins on the other hand is stronger because not only she brings people to fantasy she can also bring fantasy to people,both of them can fly(no brainer tough little diffrently.),both of them have helpers(one of them("p.p.") tough have been seen with partners more often than alone,both of their"turf" is London! Besides both of them are children books characters and beloved ones, they simular yet diffrent in so many ways kind of like batman and green arrow they iether related or if they not I whould love to see a team up movie maybe them competing Peter Pan using tinkerbelle to lift Mary up without her wanting to,pater on mary's fantasy land and it's driving him nutts it sort of whould be like Tom and Jerry turned up to 11!

And the newer doctors tend to act like combinations of the older ones, 13 acts like 11-12, 9 is the better version of 6, 12 is 3 and 1 etc. I’m aware Emily’s adaptation is based more off the books than Julie Andrews, I’m a gigantic Mary Poppins fan in both the books and movies, but timelord just makes too much sense. Too bad doctor who came after Mary Poppins lol.

The original movie was my all time favorite as a child.. I later worked for Disney for many years.. Soni was a bit hesitate about the new movie.. I’ve now seen the new one 3 times..
