Mary Religious Statue RESTORATION & CHATEAU CHAPEL Acquisitions - Journey to the Château, Ep. 212

In this week's Wednesday episode, Patrick and Stuart acquire new (old) items for the original 17th century chateau chapel. Stuart works on the restoration of an "Our Lady of Grace" blessed Mary statue (Vierge Miraculeuse). Patrick searches online auctions and Leboncoin (classified ads website) to find some lighting and furniture pieces for the chapel.

The statue of Mary is exquisite, the gold is in great shape and her face is lovely. Stuart, you did a great job re-making her hands and cleaning her. What a perfect purchase for the chapel. The old lanterns are also perfect and look like they were always there. The Virgin Mary statue is a lovely find and fits perfectly in the chapel. Stuart, you did a wonderful job replacing her hands and I’m sure the head crown will be equally lovely. Stuart! I LOVE Mary's restoration - you did a great job! Hands are so hard to make and you make them look perfect. I love doing restorations. Being an antique hunter - thrift store shopper my entire life I have restored loads of things including my love of restoring Barbies and their clothing, I find it so relaxing. Darling Lisa. Gosh you describe the feeling so well, when one finds that perfect item. My heart jumped a bit when I saw her on the table of the foundation barn.
