Patty Pan Squash. My Mother made Stuffed Patty Pan Squash a lot when I was a child. She would boil them first and then scoop out the middle and make her mixture using the scooped middle pulp. Re-stuff the mixture and bake. My favorite! The stores don’t carry this squash anymore.

We call these white squash “Patty pan” squash. We peel the outside and then slice it. Then I pan fry it in some butter and eat it with butter and sugar.

Dang those look really good ! You know they're going to be good with Stove Top Stuffing , sausage and cheese . I like store bought Stove Top Stuffing to be honest . We use it as a filling in several different meals . Thanks for sharing and have a great day !

There you go, making me hungry again 😂 We stuff acorn squash. Cube up potatoes, carrots, and onions and boil until they are not quite done mix with sausage. Butter salt and pepper the cavity stuff and bake. Yum. I'm gonna have to try your recipe too. Keep up the good work!

We do squash a little different. We scoop out the insides, mix in bread crumbs, add butter and sautee together. Add onions of course. Add seasoning of choice. I pack back into squash and add cheese on top. Sometimes I chopp up mushrooms and a little ham and add in as well. MARY PLEASE START MAKING GARDENING VIDEOS FOR US WITH BROWN THUMBS? We need your expertise. I am looking into a fall texas garden. Help me out?

Good gosh That looks delicious. I had a garden with my dad also he was teaching me so much and I loved it. Dad had a heart attack and I lost him at 13. Love stuffed squash but never made like this. I have always stuffed with a meatloaf like mixture and put canned tomatoes, onions, and peppers around them bake until done then add cheese and bake until cheese is melted mmmmgooooood

Looks good! Scallop squash isn't easy to come by around here, I don't know of anyone that grows it themselves even. I'm thinking this might be good with butternut or acorn squash though maybe.

Mary is an awesome daughter. She's wonderful in the garden and she cooks... That's a beautiful thing, in today's world. I'm not trying to promote KZbin channel. But if you get a minute. I did a fried cabbage video, with the secret ingredient. It turned out wonderful with with the surprising. Watermelon rind. It's easy to do. And the watermelon rind cooks down soft like yellow squash. Basically take the watermelon after you've got the red out of it. I used the potato peeler to remove the green. Cut it up into small 1 in cubes . The rind does not have alot of flavor. It takes on the flavor of what your cooking. Not sure how to send you a link to this video. But if you and Mary want to watch~ A Country Boy Can Cook Warnack~Fried Cabbage with surprise ingredient. Im also doing a video about using the watermelon rine to make pickles. The watermelon is in and the cucumber. I should have that video up later today. Love your family and videos.

Had some patty pan squash early on, wish I had this recipe. I usually stuff zucchini similar. Horrible squash bugs have made it hard to have squash these last few years. Just be careful with the store bought stuffing mix. It has bio-engineered ingredients. The words on the box are usually just below the ingredients listed.
