Hey Mr. McGie!!!! I’m growing my own tea for harvesting…..just got my plants all potted this week! You can take that item off the grocery store list too!!! It’s a plant Called: Camellia Sinensis

Well in three years anyway. If you cover your tea plants with shade cloth in the spring you'll get a tea that isn't as bitter as normal. Specialty Japanese tea growers do this to make premium grade matcha tea but they prefer stone ground green sweet tea. If you want dark tea you'll have to ferment it but there's plenty of how too videos on KZbin on how to go about small batch processing your own tea😄👍

@@kaitlynlsari681 thanks for the tip. I make kombucha weekly for gut health. My trees already have 10+ leaves and I’m super familiar with fermentation so, I’m excited to see progress from my trees as soon as next fall. I also have 2 greenhouses here on the property to extend the growth of my plants. I’m hopeful :)

We use a creamer to cream corn. Whether it be filled corn or sweet corn. I grew up eating field corn that was creamed. Your corn looks really good. I've got around a 100 pounds of Appalachian Air loom, white corn For seed that looks like some of your Guatemala and corn. I think I'm going to try to cross breed. My white corn with some Dixie 18 yellow corn next year. Happy Labor's Day, I'm also cooking. 2 big Boston butts off one of our hogs, we harvestoday today.

That’s awesome!!! Maybe it’ll get ready in time for a Labor Day celebration! One note I must tell you…… the field corn has a very small window of opportunity when it is actually good for this……. It gets hard very quickly, so when you determine that it is ready…… jump on it!

Idk if they still make it but right brain brewery in traverse city , michigan makes a mangalista pig porter. It's a dark beer made with smoked mangalista pig heads and bones. Been a few years since I had it but it was an annual event when they made it. Kinda of similar tasting to those smoked German beers.
